I was having a late lunch yesterday eating lentil soup at 4:30 when the managing partner came in and shut the door. He said "I see you're eating so I'll be quick. We just had a meeting of the Executive Committee and we've decided to make you a partner. We're very excited and happy." <Handshake> "Congratulations. It starts in January and we'll work out all the details before then." And he's gone. Off to make his train to Connecticut. I'm still holding my soup spoon.
