Winter 2008 Oxygen - who has it?

If you've read this mag, (or not) the cover model's article includes a menu and I'm confused about some of the "stuff" she's consuming and wondered if anyone could shed some light.

First, she mentions consuming small amounts of fish and coconut oil. Fish oil? (Blah) Next, the article mentions "branch chain amino acids or BCAA" and "Isologic MVP" "malodextrine" and "high impact glutamine"

Wha????

what's this stuff for? Do you need it for good results?

Yeah, I just wonder what all the stuff is and what it is for - many names I cannot pronounce....:) She has a very impressive shape tho...very cut. Makes me feel like a slug.
 
Look at it his way: Cathe has managed to sculpt her body into her own version of perfection and does not seem to consume any of those expensive products. It's amazing what you can achieve with rigorous, disciplined exercise, excellent but not neurotic nutrition and plenty of rest.

This comment may seem out of place but when I think about do I need a supplement or not I think about how buff some of the prisoners are and they don't take any of this stuff. So then I think do I really need it and the answer is usually no.
 
i get oxygen, but i didn't see anything that said "winter." i have the jan, feb, and march issues. is it one of those or a separate issue?

you know, i hate all the supplement ads. they are so annoying that they make me want to cancel, but i always manage to find good info in the magazine.
