Hi Cathe

We are all scared of the body change during pregnancy. I am not yet and will not for at least 2 years. But I still think about it and wonder what I will do.

I know it is also very good for the baby.

I will only trust you to give me a good workout while I am pregnant.

That would be great and I think many of us would also like that.

I would like to see this type of workout too, but my guess is that you can pretty much water down any of Cathe's workouts when in your last trimester - but I would like to visually SEE some of the modifications - if that makes sense? Maybe Cathe could commission a person who is in their final trimester to show modifications during a workout?? I don't know if that would hamper the flow though??

I would like to see what Cathe says - -

I was hoping for a cathe pregnancy workout for my pregnancies but none came out. I was able to modify alot of cathe workouts during my pregnancy and worked out til the end. I hope for you ladies that cathe does come out with a video with pregnancy modifications but if not when it is your time check out the pregnancy/postpartum forum here.

I found it easy to modify her workouts to suit my changing body while pregnant. I gradually lowered my step height and gradually stopped high impact moves. When doing the imaxes, for example, I would pick up a barbell and do leg work (squats, lunges, etc) during the blasts. I also did all my weight work on an incline bench. I found kick-boxing impossible after the middle of the 2nd trimester due to lower back pain, but lots of ladies on the forums had a lot of success with the lower impact kick/punch drills of KM and KPC.

I could offer more specific suggestions, if someone wanted to know exactly how I modified a certain workout.

Just like there are different fitness levels in the general population, there are different fitness levels for pregnant women, so I'm not sure how a workout specifically for pregant women would help--not to sound snippy or anything.

Lying flat on your back during the 2nd and 3rd trimester is not recommended due to the poor circulation to the baby (I think). I am 16 weeks pregnant right now and find that lying flat on my back is not very comfortable anyways.

I have been a Cathe fan and have done her workouts for many years now. I found out I was pregnant in July (this is my first) and continued working out for about a month, then the morning sickness really set in for me and I became very lazy. I have not done a Cathe workout in the last month and have just been walking 2-3 times per week and doing yoga 2-3 times per week due to fatigue and my pure laziness. At least I am able to do those activites though. I agree that just as there are different fitness levels for each person, each pregnant woman will experience fitness differently than others.

i have been doing cathe throught out my pregnancy also. I am 30 wks now and have been able to buy the lower impacted work outs and modified others such as body max 2 and LIC. They have all worked pretty well for me. I try to work out at least every other day but sometimes i am just plain exhausted. I still walk and take an occassional yoga class.
