Actually no Janie. In my opinion, a truly successful diet/food plan is most effective when it is specifically catered to each individual based on their energy output, age, medical health history, genetics, nutritional requirements etc.
The only people qualified to do this are experts in the field of nutrition. As far as basic nutrition goes, I feel there are already so many books out there that cover the basic material (ie: Nutrition For Dummies). For this reason I prefer to keep STS all about fitness (since this is my field of expertise) and suggest that high quality diet programs be left to the nutrition experts and registered dieticians. If you have never been to one, you should definitely consider it. It is honestly so worth it (just be sure to check their credentials ;-) )
I think that's really wise, Cathe. I remember back in the older FIRM days, when people used to request that they also did yoga or Pilates. They said to leave that to those experts. Now with new ownership or as some FIRM instructors have branched out on their own, they've made yoga workouts or have incorporated yoga or Pilates into their workouts and to me, it shows that it's not their area of experise.
You fill the weights and cardio (especially step) niche so well, I think it's fine to leave it right there, (although that was a good question Janie ).
