Will the CTX series

be enough cardio to produce fat loss? I know nutrition and weightraining play a vital role, but before I recieved these videos I was used to doing MSB in the a.m. and Step Heat in the p.m or BMax in the a.m. and and MIS in the p.m. something along those lines. Now, I do 2 CTX videos a day. One in a.m. and one in p.m.. I have more energy so far doing these videos(even though I've had a terrible cold since last week, I can still keep up with this)and I think these videos are FANTASTIC

! My question is will they be enough or will I just maintain where I'm at? Thanks to all who can answer!!!
 
Cardio

I am curious about the CTX series being enough cardio too. I do Cathe's Interval Max, Step Works, or Body max on the days I don't run. I am thinking of doing the CTX series to replace her other tapes. I did the first two tapes on Tue back to back (Chest and Biceps) and the next two back to back yesterday (Triceps and Shoulders). The weight segments were EXCELLENT. I did not get much of a cardio though..
I am a half marathoner. I run 6.5-8.5 miles 3-4 times a week.
 
I don't pretend to know much......

but I do know that according to Body For Life philosophy, shorter-duration-higher-intensity-cardio sessions keeps the metabolism firing for a much longer period of time afterwards, thus burning more calories in total, than a longer, moderate intensity cardio session.

But then again, i really don't know much!!!
 
It just seems

that ALL of Cathe's tapes are higher intensity. Since I'm used to doing 2 of her longer ones per day, will doing 2 of the Express backfire?
 
So are the CTX more intense?

Are these new tapes the short but intense type? Sounds like it. Boy are you gal ever in shape. Maybe you should come and try running up the steep hill I live on. Sounds like you should be in the Olympics. Your amazing. Lora

What a nice compliment you gave us!! And yes, they ARE intense!! Especially SNI and Pwer Circut. WOW!!! Have you done these yet?
 
Power Circuit

Thanks for some feedback and info. I have been reading alot about the shorter duration, higher intensity aerobics being better. I am just a little leary of gaining body fat after doing such longer aerobic segments. I did Power Circuit last night. I loved it. I love all the tapes, But like Aimee, I am just used to Cathe's other tapes. I love MIC and Interval Max and Body Max, but was looking for something new. I guess I will find out because I need more weight training and looking for something new, so I will stick to the CTX new tapes for 6 weeks.

No I haven't bought them. I've been away from this site for ages and missed the Presale and everything. I also didn't have the money back then but think I can afford it now. It looks very interesting. I have a time restriction and so shorter workouts that cover all the bases really appeal to me. I want to burn off some fat and get my muscles harder.
