WHY???

I don't question why you are in Iraq but aren't you the same guy that doesn't want to rebuild New Orleans? There are lives that have been devastated there too. I have family that lost everything in New Orleans but that is still home and they want to go back.

Bill,

I'm glad it was an isolated incident. The article makes one think that this an ongoing thing.

God Bless! And stay safe!

No not "don't rebuild it", rebuild it in a smarter, and safer location inland. Another category 4 or 5 and those poor people are back where they are now.

Like an old Sunday school song said, "a wise man build his house upon a rock.... A foolish man built his house upon the sand.... In this case in a bowl under water.

Being I a hurricane area is one of natures problems a lot have to deal with. Compounding the problem with being a city built below sea level, well it doesn’t take an Einstein to ponder that one. LOL

If we are going to spend the money, (and we should) we should do it using intelligence, by moving the people out of harms way.

Again, just an opinion based on experience, knowledge, and observation, that's all.

Bill,
Thank you for sharing this beautiful picture! My DH is in the Navy right now. We support you and thank you for all of your
efforts :)!

Thank you Bill for all you are doing.

Your replies in this post are very nicely stated. I don't always agree with the constantly changing "reasons" we are in Iraq but I never waver in my support of our troops and personnel who are over there. You are right in stating that for the most part none of us here knows firsthand what it is like to be dealing with the situation you are in. Thanks again for providing us with a bit of insight in that respect.

God Bless you,Bill, and all the people fighting for freedom in Iraq! We did the right thing, and whether or not you believe that, we HAVE to stay the course, and get the mission done.

Godspeed,
Ann Marie

Thanks Honeybunch,

I finish my year May 2006, if I don't extend. I will be having Diane Sue meet me in Jordan around our anniversary in March, then maybe we'll go to Egypt and England.
I'm a retired Oklahoma City Police officer, 23 years there.
