Why is it calledDOMS?

I dont know why you guys call this muscle soreness "delayed." Delayed my foot. I just did Legs and Glutes and my tushie and quads are killing me. Hell, it was killing me during the workout. I am really feeling it now. A better name for it should be ongoing muscle soreness.
 
hehe. I did that workout Thurs and my hamstrings and butt are still quite tight. Quite a workout, isn't it? I can only imagine what the L&G extreme feels like. EEEEEK!

you think your sore now? just wait until tomorrow when you have been sitting down for a while and you try standing up! i have had soreness for 3 - 4 days before. that's when you know you've been working. GOOD JOB!x(

What you're feeling now (during and just after the workout) is due to the lactic acid burn in the muscles. As the onthers have said, just wait until tomorrow when actual DOMS kicks in!

When I was doing P90X, I had "CMS"(Constant muscle soreness) somewhere on my body!
