.....do they make strength training tapes where you use the same weight throughout??
Ok, I know, I know...if you are a *true* begginner you should use light weights anyways. BUT....even if you are a begginner, you MUST use a heavier weight for bicep curls than you do for rear delt flies, don't you???
I ask because I recently acquired a Donna Richardson tape..4 day workout, or something like that....previewed it and thought it may be good for low intensity days. Then I see that she speeds through all the weight segments and uses 3lb dumbells throughout. Now C'mon!!!! Are we supposed to believe that Donna Richardson, all buffed out, uses 3lb weights????!!! And then they make stupid comments like, "Wow, that's really working good". Yeah, right!!!
The Firm does this, but has gotten better I noticed with their more recent vids. But I remember Firm Upper Body where Susan Harris immediately switches from doing a heavy (?) bicep curl to a side lateral raise. Impossible!
I am just venting really, because that really does seem like a stupid concept. And the instructors never say, "use a weight that is right for you, and CHALLENGING, for each exercise". They just say "Grab your weights".
Needless to say, I fear the Donna Richardson tape is a total waste. Good thing it was cheap!!
