Why don't I get sore anymore??

Hi Ladies! I'm 18 weeks pregnant, and have been continuing with my workouts as able, though I've scaled back a little on the intensity of cardio and number of strength workouts per week. I'm currently doing 1 total body workout (MIS, Power Hour) and one circuit-type workout per week for strength maintenance.

I've noticed that I never get sore anymore after those strength workouts. Prior to getting pregnant, I ALWAYS got sore - inner thighs, especially. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm lifting about the same amount of weight I was before, which is still quite challenging. I've had to substitue for low-ends because they completely kill me, so I know I'm not whimping out. Is my blood flow so incredible that my muscles are rebuilding before I get the chance to ache?

Just curious!

You don't get sore anymore because when women are pregnant, they're 2x stronger than they were before they got pregnant. Your body is designed to protect the baby and your hormone level is higher. You may not get sore or have a hard time now but when you get to third trimester especially a week before you give birth, you most likely will have a hard time. I would not lift heavy weights in third trimester because you're carrying a lot of weight. Don't get me wrong, just because you're twice as strong now does not mean you can lift more weighs or work harder. You still have to be very careful. The more strain you put on your body, the higher risk of miscarriage. Listen to your body. If it says stop, stop. Don't push yourself over. I wish you a lot of luck with your pregnancy.
