Whose going to bite the dust? 24/Smallville

I read in the TV Guide that 2 regulars on 24, and a regular on Smallville are going to die before the end of the season. Who do you think it will be?

TV Guide speculated that Jack might be the one who dies on 24. And that Lana's boyfriend will bite it on Smallville.

I'm not sure about 24. But for Smallville, I have 3 candidates other than the boyfriend (who is too obvious, and not much of a loss, IMO): Pa Kent (to stick with the Superman mythology, which had Ma Kent widowed---though they haven't stuck with the mythology that closely, as in making Krypto into a retriever who isn't even called Krypto--and what's with the dog not being an integral part of the family? I think they should find him a home where he'll get more attention! ut I digress!).

Second candidate: Chloe. She knows too much about Clark, so there either has to be a reveal (she lets him know she knows, or he reveals his powers to her), or she has to croak. And since she's a character that's not in the mythology, she's expendable (as are any women whose intials aren't LL! Where is Lori Lamaris?)

Third candidate, and a long shot: Lana. Just because this unrequited love can't keep going on, and as long as she's around, Clark won't be open to Lois as his love.

My husband loves Smallville and I can't stand it , but I'll pass on to him that he better detach himself from one of his beloved characters.

Now, let's talk something I do love: 24! TWO REGULARS???? oh . . . this makes me nervous. I read somewhere that Kiefer argued in a previous season that Jack should die to "keep it real" but without him -- how real is the likelihood of an audience? speaking for myself: if he's out -- I'm out.

BETTER not be Michelle or Tony, especially since I have already planned their romantic reunion in my head.

Who else is a "regular"? I love Curtis, but he's new, so i don't consider him a regular. Chloe? I thought she might bite the dust tonight, but she went Rambo on us, instead.

Our beloved President Palmer. Say it isn't so! Tonight, when that black hand reached for the phone before we even knew had been called (if we hadn't seen last week's previews) . . . loved that moment!

Oh my,two regulars. It looks like its time for me to start repeating to myself again "it's only a show . . .it's only a show."

Hmmmmmmmmmmm.....I am a 24 watcher. I would hate to see any of the regulars go! Let's see, that would be Michelle, Tony, Jack, Chloe, Prez Palmer, Mike 9his former aide and current aide to sitting Prez Idiot). Are there any others that would be considered Regulars?

Romantic Tragedy would say that either Tony or Michelle would die (or both), just after realizing that they wanted to be together again and agree to work it out.

If they kill Jack, the show is dead. Then again, it's had a good run and the more they go on, the more unrealistic it is. It might just be that time...!

Another thing - according to the producers, the actors don't even know the end so how does this magazine know that?

I still say that they should have kept Chase on b/c he could have continued the show after Jack died. He was like a young Jack Bauer.

It's definitely not going to be Lana, because she shows up in Clark's adult life occassionally. According to the comic books anyway. It will probably be Jason - since we're slowly finding out he's not the good-guy he's pretending to be. I really hope it won't be Jonathon. I know that it's going to happen eventually, but I don't want it to. I also don't want Lex to become evil - but we know that's in the cards too.

Jack can't die on 24, unless they decide to end the show.

That reminds me: I also read somewhere that Michelle might commit suicide (though she doesn't seem the type! More like something the computer guy would do. )

About 24, couldn't "regulars" be the newer people on the show this year. Now they are regulars. If thats the case, I think Edgar might bite the dust. Or let me say, I HOPE Edgar bites the dust! Can't stand him. What happened to William Devane? He hasn't been on the past few episodes.

On Smallville, I think it will be Lana's boyfriend, Jason. What about Lex's dad? Thats a toughie, I hope they don't get rid of Chloe, although she drives me crazy.

Debbie - what do you think about Lionel going back to The Dark Side? I was kind of bummed about that. I liked him as a nice guy. Still, the actor does "bad" so well!

I never really ever thought of Lionel as turning good, I always knew his dark side would come back! I love to hate him!

Oh my gosh...last night's 24 was so good. I love Chloe(sp?) and I thought her character was getting a little boring until last night. Last night was a great episode.
