Jim Carrey, Robin Williams, Billy Crystal, edited to add Spalding Gray, may he rest in peace
All of which goes to prove that comedy is a very cultural thing.

Clare, I started watching the Monty Python TV show when it first came to America in the seventies and also bought all the record albums. I think the albums were my favorites because they had so many great songs on them. To this day, I still find myself saying things like "no one expects the spanish inquisition" and other oddities. And, amazingly, people usually know what I'm referring to!! America is chock full of Monty Python fans, and the same is true for Fawlty Towers. Of course Ab Fab goes without saying.

Yes Nancy, it's a sitcom. Sunday nights 8:30 on Fox. Man, it is hilarious. The last 2 episodes were written by a different person so they weren't as funny as usual, but still, those 2 episodes were better than anything else I've seen on TV in a long time. Ron Howard is the executive producer and narrator and it stars Jason Bateman as the only working/decent member of the Bluth family. Man, it is so funny, I can't even go into details because I'd blather on for like an hour. Check it out some time if you want to be in absolute stitches.
