Who uses Stevia?

Hi Amy,
You can pretty much use Agave nectar as you would us any other liquid sweetener (honey, maple syrup, etc). I've used it for baking, on my oats in the morning, to make stir-fry sauce, in salad dressings, on top of sundaes, on a spoon and into my mouth...it's tasty:9 I've even used both Agave and stevia together, which took some experimenting, but was worth it:7

What do you plan to use it for?

I've never heard that. I've bought agave from several places, and it always lists pure agave nectar as the sole ingredient.

Glad I could help. I though their products and prices looked good.

Is that the raw? Madhava has both raw and processed, I think. Usually raw costs more.
That is a good deal! Maybe I'll check that out myself.

Hi, Mattea,
I just use it like I would honey or maple syrup: on cereal, in beverages, etc. I'm thinking of making a 'nut brittle' with agave and nuts and coconut, then dehydrating it (a raw-food alternative to baking).

The other day, I made some mochi (japanese sweet rice cakes, that are like a block, but puff up when you bake them) and dipped it in a mix of agave nectar and cinnamon (kind of a healthier "cinnamon toast').

There is both a 'dark' agave (that tastes a bit more caramelly) and light agave (more like a light honey) and it's nice to mix them up.

Thanks for the suggestions, I plan to for sure use agave in hot tea and iced tea which I never drank because I add too much sugar so I'm excited about finding an alternative. I don't bake much, but I do make bran muffins that are really healthy except for the sugar that the recipe calls for so I'm going to try the agave in that recipe. I also want to use it on hot cereal. I've wondering how to make a stir fry sauce because stir fry is so healthy, but I've been adding bottled stir fry sauce with HFCS so I was wondering what could be used in homemade sauce to make it sweet and here's my answer.:D Thanks again.

I just saw an ad yesterday for a new brand of stevia called "OnlySweet" that claims to be "the best-tasting stevia product out there" and plans to come out with a stevia especially for baking sometime soon. Right now they only sell stevia packets. You can check it out at http://www.onlysweet.com
Right now they have buy one get one free on their boxes of packets.
