Who recommend - chicken, salsa, crock pot?

looking good

Cathlete
I can't remember who wrote this recipe but I want to say thank you because I tried it and it was sooooooooo good.

Thanks,

Therese

It is a jar of salsa and chicken breast. Cook it in a crock pot until done then use however you want. Shred it for tacos, cube for salads or just eat it as is! It is delicious!!:9

I tried it too...i buy a big tray of chicken breasts and it's good for the week. For a quick dinner, I shred some of these, put out low fat sour cream, more salsa, lettuce, shredded cheese, tomatoes and w/w wraps...yummy. The kids devour them.

Was it this one? If so, may have been me- I think I posted all of these at one time... they are all VERY GOOD!!! :9

Low Fat Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 c water
salt (optional)

I make Salsa Chicken ALL THE TIME! I use it for SOOOOOOOOOO many things. I warp some in a low-carb whole wheat wrap. I toss it on salad greens, or in between 2 slices of w/w toast. I use it in tacos. And sometimes I just eat it COLD!

It's yummy and so simple!

i make this alot and have it with :

Orange Black Beans with Cumin

2 15 0z cans black beans rinsed and drained
2 tablespoons light or dark brown sugar
1 medium shallot minced
1/2 c orange juice
1 rib celery minced
1/2 c chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
pinch of ground cinnamon or cardamon
salt and black pepper

i dont like shallots, celery,or cumin so its even easier to make. serve with brown rice and a salad. yummy

Here is another variation and it is soooooo good. Add two cans of corn, one can of black beans, lay chicken breasts on top, cover with your favorite salsa. Cook low for four hrs, high for six

(note: you can marinate chicken over night and lightly pan fry to get that nice golden color before putting in crock).

Its delicious in wraps or served with rice.

I've heard this is "da bomb":
~Chris

Slow Cooker Cranberry Roast
1 (1 oz) envelope dry onion soup mix
1 (3 lb) beef chuck roast
1 (16 oz) can cranberry sauce

1. Place onion soup mix in bottom of slow cooker. Place roast in the slow cooker and top with cranberry sauce.

2. Cover, and cook 8 hours on low.

3. Remove roast and set aside. Set slow cooker to High. Whisk in cornstarch (the original recipe calls for butter and flour) to create thick gravy. Serve with roast.

I guess I'm the only dissenter. I've tried this recipe twice and didn't think it was all that great. Chicken breasts get tough and chewy in the crock pot. I think cooking them for 6 hours on low is just too long.
