Who likes French toast????? Here's one .... kicked up ....

Stuffed French Toast

20 slices French bread ( 1 inch slices)
1 8 oz pkg FF or light cream cheese (I used light)
3 c. egg subst.
2 c. FF milk
1/3 c. plus 1 3/4 c. SF maple-favored syrup (Maple Grove makes a good one)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
strawberries - optional

place 10 slices of bread in 9 X 13 coated with cooking spray. Spread with cream cheese. Top with remaining bread. Mix together egg subst., milk, 1/3 c. syrup, vanilla, cinnamon. Pour over bread. COVER AND REFRIGERATE OVERNIGHT.

Remove from frig 30 minutes before baking. Bake at 350 for 45 to 50 minutes. Thermometer should read 160 degrees. Serve with syrup and strawberries or any other fruit you desire. 10 servings

OMG, this sounds fabulous. I am the only one in my family who likes French Toast but I just may make this for myself!! :9

The recipe doesn't say anything about how this freezes, but I freeze a lot of food since it is just me and the hubby and he is gone most of the week on his job. DD is living at home here now since she graduated college but she has a summer job that keeps her gone in the evenings.

I will definitely be experimenting with freezing this.
