Who hates that their step is green and pink?

And not grey and black? I probably will not buy a new one, as mine is a club step which is perfectly good.
It also drives me crazy that my 3's are not hex weights.

Me!!

I can sooo relate! Ha! I have the green & pink step but I would love a grey & black step (even though my hubby & I both have the SuperSteps) and I kind of hide my small rubber coated dumbbells. I line up all my hexagons PERFECT with the weight number facing UP! Too funny!

RE: Me!!

Hi,

well my step is green and black with pink and purple risers,
(Eee!!uuwww) and wait for it!! I used to have the plastic dumbells with sand in them, and the bigger they got the more they looked like truckwheels and kept hitting me in the leg and the sand kept falling in my hair with all those military presses, but now I have a nice cast iron barbell set and some chrome dumbells.

joking aside though, whatever people can afford, that does the job should be the most important thing right?

I have a grey one!

Hey, my step is black, grey with black risers!!!! And i love it. I hated the pink, purple green one. Sad i know but i just bought a new one and i use the risers to give me extra height when i do the step ups. And as i use my step daily, it was the best money i ever spent!!!

Hmm, looks like I'm in the minority - I love my colorful step. Blah to the black and grey ones. Give me color, give me light, wake me up!

:) Can you tell I workout at 5:30 in the morning?

I'm with you Punky! I so wanted a pink & green one but couldn't afford it. So, when I saw the black & grey rebock step for $59, I jumped on it--no pun intended. But don't you know the darned old Step went down in price like a month later! So, now I'm really jumpin' on the black & grey one, hoping it will break! LOL

I don't care what color my step is (I have the black and gray Reebok), but it drives me nuts that my 3 and 5 pound dumbbells are old heavy hands with the red stuff coming off. I really want hex weights for that size, but I need 15s first, since I don't have any 15s at all.

Oh, well, they do the job!

This is the one time that I don't mind bright colors. My whole house is blacks and earthtones and rusts and so on (African/Asian fusion decor) but my workout room is bright, happy colors! LOL I've got anti-fatigue squares in many colors- part are dark gray, the others yellow, blue, red and green, my multi colored medicine balls, the colorful step and mini topper, for a while my tv set was blue!!! I like having all the colors especially since I'm an early morning exerciser - it "stimulates" the mind enough to get me going at 4:30am haha

too funny. :) I like that my step is green/black with pink and purple risers. I also have the colorful coated dumbbells (1# all they way thru 10# like this, the 12's and 15's are boring black coatings on the ends)as I'm on the ocean and everything rusts otherwise. I like the jolts of color in the morning, plus if I haven't put in the contacts, it's easier for me to know what weights I'm grabbing, by color. <g> The plates for the barbell, alas are just gray <g>.

I have the same green/black step but with purple and grey risers...

I love it, but mostly for sentimental reasons... I bought it in 1990 when I first got certified to teach aerobics and step. I taught the military's mandatory 0500 weight loss class and I had to provide my own equipment for myself and the one overwieght guy who would show up (and this was in the neon and thong leo era!!!). Now I love it because I'm short enough that it is a perfect weight bench!

Ha!

You guys are all sooo funny! I just want to clarify, I don't DISLIKE my pink & green step, I just have this addiction when I see Cathe has something NEW, I WANT it! How sick it that? My green & pink step works great! Can't wait for that mini-step to arrive!

If I thought about is as green (a color I loath, except in nature) and pink (which can be wimpy), I'd probably dislike it. But I'm fine with my teal and fushia step (with extra purple and lilac risers).

Now that is creative!!!!!

Okay, here's my "step peeve." My risers came from two different companies, and they are different shades of purple! It drives me nuts! I have to have some kind of pattern symmetry, especially when I use it as a weight bench--dark purple, light purple, then four more darks on the right and EXACTLY the same pattern on the left. Are we nuts or what?

Funny post! I got a step (I think from the Step Co) years ago. It's the shorter one and in bright aqua and pink- ugh! It was $50 which was a lot since it's not even that sturdy. I wish I would've gotten the longer one like Cathe and gyms use.

I now use my BodyShaping step that's all black and very sturdy. I got it about 10 yrs ago at GNC for like $25. Just shows ya that money doesn't always equal quality!

I love color!

I love that I have the purple and teal step!

My whole workout room is nothing but color - hand-painted borders on the walls, colorful painted furniture, COLOR EVERYWHERE!

I wish neoprene dumbbells came in heavy weights so I wouldn't have to have the ugly, bland grey and black ones for everything heavier than 8 lbs (because the 10-lb ones are black, so what's the point?).

I hope when I need to replace my Home Depot floor mats that I can find the bright-colored ones again so I won't have to go with the blah grey/black ones.

I wish I could find the orange medicine ball Cathe uses, so I could get rid of my dull rust & black one. I wish I could find her orange stability ball too - mine is teal, but I need more orange in the room! Come to think of it, I need to replace my boring tan folding chair with something more lively. I see a trip to Tar-zhay in the near future...

I'm as nutty as you! I have risers that are fushia, dark purple and light purple (lilac), and I will usually try to get the same color pattern on each end as I set up my step.

I've got the entire purple/green theme going in my workout room.
My puzzle mats are purple and my yoga mat is green. I've got the green vinyl 3lb dumbells and the purple 5lb ones. Oh, and my fitness ball is purple. So it's all perfectly co-ordinated! :D

Ugh. My step is that awful teal/green with the hot pink riser -- I probably loved it in 1989....;) What I really hate is that its so short -- and I'm tall. :(

Fortunately, I have wonderful 15 lb. hex weights -- perfect for pushups on the floor and tricep dips on the step (as illustrated by Cathe for the second set of dips in S & H Triceps and Biceps).
