Who else other than Cathe?

Maybe there was a thread like this, but forgive me! I have three children and they have sucked out what brain cells I have, so humor me!

I have Christi Taylor, more because she really challenges my mind when it comes to her choreography. It feels so good when I figure one of her combos out! I also used to love Franny B from CIA, same reason as Christi. For kickboxing I mesh together different vids from Janis Saffell and Keli Roberts because I love their chreography.

But, when it comes to strength training and intense cardio, I haven't found any that touches Cathe(that isn't saying too much, though. I haven't bought any w/o in about years!). She is my fave! I was just wondering what/who everyone else here liked. Variety is the spice of life, you know!

Peace out, y'all!

I enjoy Mindy Mylrea for intense cardio and P90X for upper body strength training. I also like CIA 2102 Powerbar Training for a total body endurance workout - it's similar to Power Hour.

For strength I use only Cathe. For cardio I use Cathe and Cristhy Taylor. For kickbox I use Cathe : CK,KM, Kickbox of the CTX and KPC, Janis Saffell and TAEBO.

I like a little of everything. For strength I do P90X, Slim Series and the Firm. For cardio I enjoy some complex stuff like Christi or Seasun Zeiger. I have over 160 workout vids including every Cathe that's out there. I can't stick to just one instructor because either I get bored or I get burnout.

I don't do anyone for cardio and weights other than Cathe. I do use Bryan Kest and Sara Ivanhoe for yoga. But if Cathe did yoga, I'd probably use that too.

Tony Horton for strength/yoga, Powerstrike and Tae Bo for kickboxing. Also Rodney Yee and the Flow Series for yoga. J.B. Berns for rebounding.

I've tried Christy Taylor, but just couldn't get into her program. I have many Karen Voights, but they're there only for "light periods".

I'm glad you said "Liked" because I used to be a Karen Voight-er. But alas we grew apart. It was the closest thing to real exercise I knew at the time. I grew my thighs with the Firm; I trimmed them again with Tae-bo Billy, I bounced around with Kathy Smith, I experimented with Christi Taylor. I grew taller with 'The Method.' I took only one walk with Leslie Sansome. I had a zen experience on my ball with some blonde chick. I 'Quick-fix'-ed a bit but my body didn't. I gave up on it all and took up jogging.

Then I discovered Cathe. *SIGH* Life has never been the same.

Trish:)

Trish!

That is too funny! I laughed my head off! Particularly, walking with Leslie. Thanks for starting my day off with a good laugh.

For strength training: P90X (the best upper body workouts, bar none!); Power Half Hour, the Firm ("second generation" as in the "Cardio" "Strength""Total Body Sculpting" period)

For high/rep lighter weight: Karen Voight (TOUGH!); Slim Series

For functional fitness: TLP, Core Secrets

For kickboxing/boxing: Powerstrikes, Kimberly Spreen, Tae Bo, Contenders' Club

for cardio/weights: Fitprime, Firm

And MANY more, including MIndy Mylrea, some CIAs, Kathy Smith

Well, I certainly agree with everyone that Cathe is awesome!

For step, I also like G force (step and interval) (Rob Glick, Patrick G. and Darrin G.) it's major choreography, but packs a good workout punch.
Kari Anderson - "Hot steps" video and she also has a good abs tape--offers fun choreography and gets the heart pumping, very pleasant personality.
Jay Blahnick - has some tapes with Kari Anderson and some individual ones, you won't get the hardest workout ever, but the moves are fun and he is a great instructor.
Tracy York has co- taught on a couple of videos with Michelle D.--fun choreography, probably won't get your heartrate up like a Cathe video.
Petra K. -- cute choregraphy, great personality, but doesn't get my heartrate up.
Kendal Hogan - good choreography, Crunch tape is too short though, won't get the heartrate up.

Looking back--I spend way too much money on fitness videos!
