Who Didn't You See?

"Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm 64." My gosh, he's THERE! When he did his 2002 tour, I read a lot about him because seeing his concert kept me in a cloud suspended over the earth for several months. I have the tour DVD which I can pull out to re-live it. He IS impressive - I'm so jealous of his 30-something wife!

BTW - there are DVD's available for the old Dick Cavett show, some of which feature John & Yoko. I'm anxious to see those courtesy of my Nexflix membership.

One of best things about getting older is the neat stuff you remember firsthand - like the Beatles! And the moon landing!

"It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt." Mark Twain ;-)

I would like to see Fleetwood Mac. I was never into them when they were popular but I got more interested over the past few years after seeing their story on VH1 and then paying more attention to their music. I would also like to see the orginal Cars in concert. They're touring now but without Rick O'Casec (sp?) who was the lead singer. I think now Todd Rungren has taken his place. You can substitute more easily other members in a band instead of the lead singer because their voice IS the band. Journey got a new lead singer for their band who does sound like Steve Perry but to me, Steve's voice is phenomenal and represents Journey so I couldn't go to their concert last year when I had the opportunity to. I just didn't have the interest if Steve Perry wasn't singing. Also, Styx has substituted their lead singer, Dennis DeYoung, also. I saw him perform solo a couple of years ago and it was like I was listening to the group because again, he was the voice of the band.

On another note, I saw Duran Duran less than a year ago. I first had a private concert by them with a handful of other people. Then we got to talk to them, ask them questions and got their autographs on a group picture. I then got to see them perform while standing on the side of stage. It was an unbelievable evening. Simon, who wasn't my favorite, looked amazing! Actually they all did. They were all tired prior to their concert and I offered to do a relaxation technique on them but they didn't take me up on it. Could it have been the silly grin with the drool rolling down my chin that ruined it for me? }( I'm sure I offered with a very sincere, cool look on my face. :9 ;)

Sorry this is long.

Bam, I just saw Fleetwood Mac last year. Everyone was there except Christine McVee. They were phenomenal! Lindsey Buckingham is incredible! I think they may still tour occasionally, so keep your eyes peeled!

Thanks Ivory! :) I'll tell ya, that band has had so much drama between them that they're a self-produced soap opera, lol. :+ Don't ya just love how they all swapped partners amongst them? It made for some awesome song writing. }( Hopefully I'll be able to see them soon.
