Who Cares - May !

Hello, muscle Max done. Jody, thoughts to you, that is stressful for both of you! Also, dang that is a lot of stairs. Ronne, what a great idea adding the gloves. I will have to remember that. Lisa, still raining. Supposed to stop Sunday evening. I think I'd rather have snow. Hello to everyone else! Have to run into work and turn in my paperwork for my nursing classes, will only have to do the medics over the summer. I'm kind of excited! Good day to all! Mary

OK, I lied, was too beautiful not to get out and DH's meetings canceled so we went for a 17.5 mile ride, Suki was amped and ran when out of the basket, I clocked her getting to 12-15 mph! I was beat because we didn't take any breaks and no break when Suki was out as I had to cycle hard to keep up with her! Tracy, lol on Tomato head, I love it! I don't like humidity (hot and humid is worse), I blame growning up in FL, My skin looks and feels better when it's humid though. I think my neck problems stemmed from a car accident when I was 5, front seat, not belted in, went thru window, lady driving scooped me up and ran with me through the streets looking for help as my head was bleeding fiercely. At age 19 I had to go to Chiro during a ski trip, that was when they saw not much space in a couple of the discs, but I persevered until age 48 with neck going out every now and then until I had to have fusion. It was tough but this group got me thru! Ronne, my shoulder blade muscles are SORE, a goodish sore, so you must have more than just what can be foam rolled, take it easy! You are the most sensible one here! Roxie, Jenn is my fave and best music IMO, she talks and sings though so some don't like that. Jennifer is my next fav, then Christine who has real cycling experience. Then Hannah for an easy day. I've learned a lot through the Peloton FB group about Steven HR training but i don't jive with his music. Robin is kick a$$ but too much hip hop, same with Alex. You'll have to let me know what you think or if you need recomendations! Mary, THX! I think you got our rain. Now you know why I was glum!

Lisa-I just watched one of those workouts and they seem designed to work specifically for there bikes not sure it will work with my bike. I watched a beginner workout with Hannah an boy she talks a lot.

Ronne I'll PM you!
Yesterday I did a youtube w/o plus got in 8K steps w/ trip prep. Literally waiting for integral items to arrive from Amazon ordered on Thurs and Fri. Departing for airport on Mon.

Roxie, you don't need all the sensor numbers they call out. Really only need a cadence monitor and a HRM is good but not necessary. Ignore when they mention output, it's a cycling measurement and I haven't even grasped it for outdoor riding as I'm not hard core. Resistance you'll have to guess on, but you always need to do what you want in the ride. 25 resistance is like when you feel a flat road, and 50 is where you feel ok when standing, then adjust in between(and over for the rare occasions).

There is a Facebook group, Peloton App Users Unite! Join that lots of good info there on how people are making it work. I got a wahoo cadence monitor that attaches to my shoe. I go mainly by heart rate and make the ride what I want. Steven little has good heart rate classes. You just have to figure your zones, then zone 2 65%-75 is endurance (and best for fat burning), zone 3 (75-85 is power), zone 4 85-95 is threshold, and zone 5 95%+ is max capacity. With training my heart rate, my heart rate doesn't rise as fast now showing my heart is more fit and yesterday I got into zone 5 and didn't freak out. I use 220 minus age to figure my max and it seems to work for me.

They do have free shipping on their bike right now and sometimes I want one, but with cycling outside more it is just too much money for the monthly plan. App only is $12 a month, the bike app access is $39 a month and the bike doesn't tell you any cadence, resistance numbers unless you're subscribed so your kinda locked in. I've rambled, join the FB group and look through there.

So yesterday- amidst all the packing chaos, someone knocks on the door. According to dd, I joyfully skipped to the door (yay, Amazon package!). Instead, church people. o_O Disappointment reined supreme. Although in hind sight, I should have given them my prayer requests.
Mary, lol about excited to do Medics all summer. ;)
Lisa, I think you get a lot out of the app w/ what you do already plus you really enjoy your cycling.
Ronne, thanks for the info!
Waves to all. DD the eldest saw Guardians of Galaxy Vol 2 and loved it. I hope to go see asap.

Hi all, I've been a cycling maniac, DH too, I didn't take any rest day as it should rain next week so I'll rest then. Fri was 17 miles and hills, sat, 31 miles relatively flat for here, only 400ft elevation gain, today, 19 miles, moderate hills (they used to be hard hills to me). Ronne, you knew I'd go ride and I did, how's the hamstring? My itb band is better but now I have bruises? I must have really pressed on sore spots, whoops. But it feeels better. Jody, I don't get too many steps and when I do, foot/ankle hurts so well done on steps and the skip to the door to joyfully greet church people, lol, such disappointment. I can only imagine all the stress and trying to organize trip, I'm having a hard enough time organizing Mother's Day get together, geez, boys. Mary, how was your weekend? Roxie, no more free shipping, whew that temptation is gone for me now especially since I do fine with my spin setup and only do that during rain, snow or wind. Tracy and Murphy hellos !

I substituted a dvd today and did a TTM premix. It wasn't so bad, but I couldn't to a second set of lunges. Just didn't want to do it, tired.

Jody - wait, who is going to Euro/Africa? DD?
Ronne - could luck with the roller. I have one and need to remember to use it when needed - I usually forget I have it. :-0
Roxie - rest days are important. You work hard on your workouts, rest hard too.
Mary - I won't tell about you skipping abs if you don't tell that I skipped a second set of walking lunges. :)
Lisa - great job on the transformation. You can see a difference!
Tracey - Tomato head, love it!

Murphy

Good morning! I cheated today too! Did MMA boxing. Yesterday was the mat one, Saturday was the gym. Murphy, I might be bailing! It seems more like a job when I have to follow! Lisa, boys are different! We get to pick DD up on Mother's Day, I'll be moving her back home! Which is the best ever! DS comes home on Wednesday, for a weekend! Everyone will be together for a few days. Jody, young DS and I saw Guardians yesterday. SO. MUCH. FUN. Loved it! Ronne, what did you get into? Roxie, won't be long now! Are you ready? Hi Tracey! Well, lucky me, going to dentist, hope you all have more fun than me! Mary

Good Evening,

I did Coffeyfit Raw Upper Body and had to drop to 5lb dumbells after doing the 20 Lb barbell it was a tough workout.

Mary- I was a bad girl today an didn't go to the staff meeting.

Hi fit babes! You are all so busy!

Hi Roxie! Glad you could spend your weekend at the lake. I was in Kansas City many years ago and recall it was 73 degrees but no one was outside due to the humidity!

Ronne, I have LLA, wouldn't you know? I just can't remember them all by initials. :p And I don't remember which day summer arrived last week but we had a Texas kind of rainstorm on Thurs. afternoon. Never have seen anything like it! I had an appt. to go to and the parking lot at work was 3 inches deep with water and the rain was rolling through it. I got drenched getting into the car, then realized I couldn't even see well enough to drive. But neither could anyone else! I learned later that an area just east of us got 70 mph winds and knocked down at least 20 power poles on one road. Is it May? Am I in WA state? The west coast usually has somewhat mild weather! Do you ever have that kind of weather? I've often thought our weather is similar with the gray skies but I know your are is a bit colder.

Lisa, that is a lot to go through with your neck! I'm glad you are doing so well though! And what a transformation!! That is so awesome!! You should be proud--it's harder to slim down as we mature, especially after the big M! I had to laugh when you had to bike hard to keep up with Suki--BB often pulls me so I have to pick up the pace!

Mary, I do believe I had more fun that you, I did not go to the dentist! And I too cheated today with cookies! People bring in junk food to work all the time, daily I swear. Today I couldn't resist.

Jody, your story about skipping to the door to greet church people was hilarious! Has Amazon made it to your doorstep by now?

Hi Murphy! Are you still following the May rotation? When I follow them, I don't do weekends. :D

XT CBS today and a run/walk/stop/sniff/run/greet neighbor/walk/poop this evening with BB. He's passed out!

Here's to sunshine for all!

Tracy, got your storm here yesterday, it's wet and soggy and supposedly more rain to come. Mary, my kids both came home during the summer between freshman and sophomore yrs.

I'm trying to get motivated to do RWH CBS, I'm feeling lazy.

Thanks all for the transformation affirmation.

HI girls! Today did a Cathe live leg workout, one of the first ones. Lisa, I don't want your rain back! Sun is shining, chilly, so beautiful! Only DD will be home, we will get to go to DC to visit. Tracey, the dentist is not fun! I signed up for a root canal! Lucky me! Roxie, I wouldn't have gone either! Only 10 more days??? Hello to Ronne, Jody and Murphy! Gotta go help DH with the lawn! Good day! Mary

Good Evening,

I did a Peleton workout by Hannah Marie Corbin because my maiden name was Corbin and I really didn't enjoy it not as much as StudioSweat

Hi all. Yep, still on the May rotation - with some minor adjustments. I am not a big fan of part of the RWH series so I sub most of that. The weight work is okay, I am just not into some of the more aerobic sections. But then again, I have always gravitated more to weights than aerobics. I really am not a fan of the step. I lack coordination.

Waves to all!

Murphy

Hi all

Murphy - well done for keeping up with the rotation - your version at least. The Plyo Hiit in that series is really tough. I have to be feeling really strong to tackle that!

Roxie - I had a look at those KCM workouts on Youtube. I'll probably try the UB one at some point.

Mary - have you fallen off the rotation? Sunshine, hooray! We've got some here today at last. It's been so grey and cold. So fed up with it. Nice to see blue sky and get the washing out. I do like hanging the washing out! Have fun with the kids.

Lisa - you're not lazy after all that cycling.

Tracey - you made me laugh with your dog walk description! That sounds like serious rain! We don't often get rain like that here. We're having a cold, dull spring so far but dry. We've got some sun today at last and it's a bit warmer. It doesn't get really hot here, at this time it's about 18-20 C.

Jody - hope you got the packing done!

Well I've been busy with work but got a couple of workouts in: today was Mindy Mylrea two segments of Intensity Overload (hiit) and yesterday I did a few sections of Amy Bento's Drop Set Weights. Felt good to do some cardio. I think I can start working it back in again. I don't think that's the cause of my leg problems.
Off to meet a friend tonight for some Asian food. Looking forward to it!

Quick update, DD in Zurich and hiking today I think. Her sleeping bag arrived on Sun, delivered by USPO. She needs it for Swazi. We made it to Orlando airport on time despite traffic delay then I went on to Daytona for night to see dad then back home to take mom to doc appt yesterday morning. I'm dealing w/ the aftermath today. Returns, clean up, and in a bit I'm meeting w/ tax lady for my mom's taxes. I took mom to her doc yesterday, she wants her to take radioactive/ablate her thyroid. Plus mom going to meet her insurance today. They want to make sure she is getting all the benefits of her car insurance. I'm like, MOM THEY WANT TO SELL YOU MORE TYPES OF INSURANCE. She thinks she's going to come away spending less on her auto insurance.
Murphy my younger dtr got an internship in Swaziland for most of the summer and has about 12 days prior stop over in Euro for travel and about a week stop over on the way back so that's what all the fuss is about on my end : D

Quick hello! Have band concert tonight and DS comes home after that!!!! Did last week's Cathe live. Hope everyone is well! Mary

Good Evening,

I did StudioSweat Strength and Stamina July 16 2015 with Brian tough workout. I got a job at a Walmart Pharmacy close to where we are moving.

Hi ladies! 1 hr spinning yesterday, today was rehearsal bsb. Ronne, what do you think started your hamstring problem ? Jody, What a great experience for DD! Mary, saw your pic, looks like the crew is back together. Roxie, that was a quick job search . Murphy, I like weights better too but I'm having to do a mind shift. I feel I was led to where I should be with working out at this point in my life.
