Hello, I am a 46 year old male with 30+ years of weight training.I am still in pretty good shape, but I'd like to be in better shape to reflect my efforts in training.I was very impressed by the weight training clips I've seen of your videos. My question is, which would be the best for a man like myself who'd like to look better, leaner, more muscular, and over-all better shape.I also do treadmill work-outs several days a week.I have an olympic barbell, high and low pully systems, dumbells, and a barbell rowing unit. Thanks for any advice!

welcome Scotiaman

not cathe here but would like to offer my help. since you have weightlifting experience you might be doing body part splits right? in which case slow and heavy series and gym styles might be rigth for you. if you like to throw in total body workouts there is muscle max or the power hour dvd(which has 3 workouts on it). also she has the boot camp/muscle endurance dvd(from intensity series), which has a ton of premixes to keep things fresh between the two workouts. all use barbells and dumbbells and the gym styles use the resistance band for extra "burn". there is also the pyramids dvd from the intesnity series. one is a lower body pyramid workout and the other an upper body workout both on one dvd and also have a ton of premixes. i find all these to be great workouts for weight lifting as well as doing my own thing.

do you like to do cardio as well b/c while cathe does mostly step she has kickboxing style workouts like kick punch crunch, kickmax, and cardio kicks.

i work with both usually alternating every few months. for two months i will do spilts(one day biceps/triceps until all body spots are hit at least one day per week or upper body day/lower body day working each for 2-3 days per week)then for a month and half i will do total body workouts. i have to keep changing b/c i get bored with the same type of training all the time and my body for some reason adapts to things to easily.
