I have only done imax 2 in fit tv, and i just ordered imax 3. which one is better? I know fit tv cuts out alot, do you think i should order imax 2 too?

i have only done imax2 but i think you should order it anyway. imax2 is way fun. i want it on dvd so i can have cardio and weights and really mix things up.

IMax 3 is like IMax2 on steroids. There are fewer breaks and the really tough stuff starts earlier. I love both workouts. I do IMax 2 more frequently.

IMAX 2 is my favorite of the three IMAX's. I find IMAX 3 (which I've only done once) to be too high impact. There's also a lot less recovery time between intervals. I plan on conquering it in the future, but I think I'm going to be doing a lot of modifying, esp. when she jumps off the step!

I also prefer IMAX2. Before I was attacked by a cold virus :-( , I did it once a week, and got to the point of doing it (onan 8"step) without much modification. It's fun, well-cued and Cathe has a really cute hairstyle in it (if you're into the aesthetics of a workout!).

I'm not as fond of IMAX3. I will no doubt NEVER do some of the "too-high-impact" blasts as-is (jumping OFF the step onto the floor...no thanks). It's also not as well cued as IMAX2, and I don't feel like the workout moves as fluidly as IMAX2.

Interval Max is another option. It seems more like a "sports drill" workout to me. Less choreographed, more straight-forward moves. And Cathe often shows a lower intensity option before going full-on into the blast (which would be nice to have in ALL the IMAXes). It reminds me somewhat of Gin Miller's Intense Moves, which is another interval workout I really like.

Thanks girls, i havent received it yet but now im alittle worried.Any how, how differnt is the imax2 on dvd than the one they show on fit tv?

Imax 2. Not too jarring to my joints. The choreography is also easier to learn. I had a hard time with Imax 3's choreography.

i know there are maybe one or two intervals left out.

I love them both, but I have to say I think I enjoy Imax 2 more. Imax 3 is a great workout but I really have to be in the mood for a lot of jumping. Imax 2 just feels better to my body. Imax 3 is definitely a calorie burner and a plateau buster though.

Imax 3 is my favorite! It is harder then Imax 2 but I love it! :) I do them both regularly but Imax 3 does it best for me! :)

I'm with Runcrazy Jo - I like I-Max 3 better than I-max 2 precisely because it IS harder - I like to do the blast-only premix after a more up-tempo step warm-up every 2-3 weeks or so.

That said, however, OF COURSE GET I-MAX 2. Once you've gotten it, the Fit-TV Fillet will never do it for you. It comes on the same DVD as Cardio+Weights, as was mentioned in an earlier response, and you can customize both workouts a lot. PLUS, the Cardio+Weights has an ab/core routine that, while not long in duration, never ever fails to burn!

Never let it be said that we didn't help you spend more money than you'd planned.

I prefer doing Imax3 on the Hardcore Extreme DVD - it's mixed in with LowMax, so there's a little less impact. Plus, I get breaks in changing between an 8" and a 6" step. I think you end up doing 6 of the Imax3 intervals this way. (Plus, you'd get the other 2 workouts on the Extreme DVD!).

I like both of them a lot and I agree that IMAX 3 is harder--just go with Aquajock's suggestion and buy both. Hardcore Extreme is really good too.

With Cathe stuff--once you start buying, you can't stop--Resistance is futile}( }( }(
