<---will digress from <--- speak in order to give an update on her situation

Ok, I just called the ER and talked to a nurse. She thought it sounded really weird and called one of the Dr.'s on call tonight to contact me. He called me within minutes and I described everything that had happened. He told me that it sounded like I had some kind of extreem muscle spasm that had locked up the muscles. He told me to stick with heat and then the hard part - I have to work it out! He told me that it was very odd to have this happen, but that I could take care of it at home without going to the ER. He said if it was only in one leg, he would be more worried about it being a blood clot, but being in both legs basically ruled that out. It hurts like HECK to touch the calves let alone massage them. That is what I have been doing though since talking to him and using a band to pull my toes back. He says I have to do this until the spasm releases - it is not pleasant!!! I just hope I can walk tomorrow :(. Thank you for the concern, you guys are the best!!!! Sorry if this post sounds really disjointed - I'm hurting!

ETA - Just noticed Nancy's post. Yes, I'm definitely in pain. ;) Actually bummed an oxycotin (or whatever the heck that was) from my mom cuz' I was in excruciating pain when it first locked up. It helped a little, but not much. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Hopefully, a few minutes of massage agony will help the muscle release.
