Where are you going off to this summer?

Marla gave me this idea. Love your pics, Marla! What a nice place to visit. You all look so wonderful!

This summer, we are planning on going to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA, Water Country, Virginia Beach, The Aquarium and visiting downtown historic Williamsburg.

We go to Williamsburg, VA almost every year. Our favorite place. We love to eat in Little Italy at Busch Gardens. They have the best pasta. Yeah, I don't eat very clean when on vacation... Ice cream, pasta, pizza, etc. Gonna be so much fun...that is what vacation is all about....having fun!!!!

We might hit Busch Gardens this summer too - we love rollercoasters! For sure we're heading to Sint Maarten in July. side from that I'm not sure!
 
We just bought a pop-up camper, so we are planning to go away every weekend! We are definitely going to the Poconos,Ocean City MD,Chesapeake Bay Md,VA Beach,Busch Gardens and last but not least down the Jersey shore. I can't wait for summer already!

We are going to Wisconsin Dells and staying at the Great Wolf Lodge. There is a great waterpark indoors and one outside too. Lots to do so we wont even have to leave the lodge if we don't want to.

My MIL, FIL, SIL and her husband and 2 are going too. That makes 11 of us in all for 4 days. Should be fun.
 
For those of you going to Busch Gardens: 1) ride the roller coasters for me!! 2) tell me why Williamsburg has like 2000 waffle shops and prime rib restaurants! If you haven't noticed it before, you will this time!

I'm staying home this summer. :(
 
We are going to Italy. To Venice and Florence and if we can fit it in our timeline possibly a couple of days in Switzerland.
 
I don't think we're going anywhere. Maybe some day trips.

We're putting a large water feature in our backyard this summer (small pond, trickley waterfall, large pond) and so will be spending much time and money working on that:)
 
We love the rollercoasters too! I can only go on the Alpengeist once cuz it has alittle too much spin in it and just can't go on anything that spins too much...get real sick! This started when I was 26.
We go to France in Busch Gardens and stop by the ice cream place. Gosh, it smells so good in there! I will have to work on my new "supersize booty" when I get home. LOL

We are going to spending our summer in "New Mommy and Daddy 101" classes! lol No vacation for us until atleast the fall....may take a trip down to FLA at that point to visit relatives with the baby. We aren't sure yet. We have airline tix we have to use so we have to go SOME WHERE....

Point Pleasant, NJ, every weekend!

Toasty, I went to grad school in Williamsburg. I worked in costume at Yorktown. Perhaps we've met LOL. I was the one wearing 3 layers of clothing & wool stockings in August. :p
 
I am going to have a great summer. First, my parents are taking the entire family on a cruise for their 40th anniversary. Then I'm going to Iceland for the summer solstice! I'm so psyched to go somewhere where it doesn't get dark. To top it all off, I'm going to Hawaii in August - and it's a free trip! I haven't been able to travel for a few years because of my previous job. But now that I left I can finally use some vacation days without guilt!

My boss lives in Pt. Pleasant! You must be one of those people that makes his drive home on a Friday night in the summer horrible! LOL :p ENJOY! I am so jealous...I have always wanted to rent a house down the shore for the season or even just for a week...one day I will do it!

LOL! Yes that would be me. Please tell him not to give a curly haired girl w/2 dogs in a mini SUV the finger while sitting in traffic. :+

Seasonal rentals are probably not as expensive as you think. We pay $8k for the summer & we're 3 houses from the beach. I share w/2 other girls so the way I see it, I'm spending as much on an entire summer as many do for one week. It's well worth it.
 
We are going to Disney World this July. Hopefully hit every park and Sea World as well. I just got the plane tickets last week!!

Camping, hiking and backpacking with hubby and kids somewhere out West where topography actually exists (as it does not here in Michigan!), maybe Wyoming, Montana, maybe California, maybe Washington State, maybe Oregon, maybe Idaho.......

We'll decide later...

Sitting at the top of a mountain that I climbed myself, drinking fresh water from an unpolluted stream, with the sunshine on my face and the wind whipping my hair about, is the only true peace I ever find on this earth. Wish I could experience it daily!

Three vacations this summer: June is a long weekend with my parents at their house in western PA where DH can go fishing with my dad. In July we're heading over to Scotland for the British Open at St. Andrews - a good friend's dad is going to be a course marshal and we thought it'd be fun to see the tournament. And in August DH's great aunt is celebrating her 90th birthday and is taking our part of the family to Bermuda for five days.

That's a VERY busy summer for us - we usually take one 7-to10-day trip somewhere and that's it.
