When was the last time you did Interval Max?

Since IMAX2 & 3 came out, I've barely touched this workout. So I figured just to mix it up a little I did it this morning. It was so easy! LOL! The only interval that really kicked my but was the one with the power scissors (power lunges?), which always kick my butt, regardless of the workout.

It was fun though to see the progression of Cathe's interval workouts, from very basic and, well, I don't want to say easy but not even close to the intensity level we now have, to complex choreography, longer intervals & shorter recoveries.

I guess that poor lonely video will sit on my shelf gathering dust for another year or so. ;)

one of my favorite workouts is IMax 1! such easy choreography so i can go all out!
my fave thing to do though, is mix and match my favorite intervals from all three imaxes. easy to do if you have a multidisc changer.

I did Imax on Sunday and pull it out pretty often, along with Imax 2.

To be honest, if I'm doing an intense cardio workout, I prefer that the choreography be simpler. I'd rather focus on my intensifying simple moves than fancy footwork. I'm probably the only person on the planet that doesn't like Imax 3. :-(

You are not alone. I really dislike IMax 3--it's just too much for my joints, and too little recovery time after the intervals. My favorite is IMax 2, but I also get a great workout with 1.

Two weeks ago. I think Imax 1 is the hardest video Cathe's ever produced, hands down. I think floor intervals (like those in Kick Max's challenge segment) are much tougher than intervals done on the step. Intervals 2, 8, and 10 get me every time!

No, you're not.

I don't hate it, but I do it with MANY modifications (no jumping off the step to the floor for me!), and there are some transitions and moves that are not well cued (the first one, for example), and I much prefer IMAX2. More fun, more doable "as-is." I've been doing it once a week for several weeks, and last time went to an 8" step and did more of the moves the way they are supposed to be done! I won't even approach this on IMAX3 (because I don't want to, for the most part).

Hi, I think Imax 1 is a good interval workout but I find it very boring. I think the other two are much more fun and have better music. I did it once and unless its on a rotation, and even then I may not do it again. But, I don't care for bootcamp either. I am sure not many agree with me on that from reading other posts on it. Take care. Karen

I do IMAX 1 once a week. I prefer simple choreography and this video still gets me pumping and sweating. I do not have the patience for IMAX 3.

I did it yesterday, actually. (I'm doing the August05 Bootcamp rotation ). I haven't done it in awhile because I think of the 3 IMAXes, it's the boring one. It wasn't so boring this time, though but I was surprised how my heart rate wasn't as high as I expected. It definitely felt easier than the last time I've done it and I was able to do ALL the scissor things - that was a first!

I agree with The Bean. I do Interval Max Enhanced (my own souped-up version) at least once every two weeks. To me it is a benchmark workout; as long as I can do that one I can do anything else Cathe coughs up. And I find I-Max 3 somewhat easier and I-Max 2 much easier than I-Max The Original.

I haven't done it for a few months, but I find it a nice change once in a while. I do laugh, though, at the different hair styles, music and think how far Cathe has come from those videos to now. WOW! She IS the woman!

I checked my calendar and I did Interval Max last on July 12th. I don't know why I don't reach for it more often because I really like that workout. It is on the September rotation for Saturday so I'll be doing it then.

I do it about once a month. It's a great workout. I really feel worked out, like to keep track of how I feel after it (if it's killing me, I need to do more cardio intensity) and Cathe and crew just look so cute.

I still use this one often but as an add on to other workouts using Intervals 1-5 or 6-10. I don't really like the extended warm up. It bores me and I just want to get into the workout:) To me it feels easier than 2&3. I think it just depends on where your strengths are.
