When did you or are you going to tell everyone?

I'm being "forced" LOL by DH to wait until week 12. I swear 3 weeks has never seemed sssooooo long! When I had the bleeding, well I was willing to keep it to ourselves out of being a little scared, but now it's been 3 weeks since then and, DARN IT I WANT TO TELL EVERYONE!!! Not to mention I have almost slipped a dozen times. I mean everything going on revolves the baby - this summer, our trip to San Antonio, or what not. So basically I'm venting right now ;-) , but any one else wait this long? Last time DH told MIL right when we found out at 8 weeks LOL he couldn't keep it in! I'm trying to "sit pretty" and be a good girl, but it's ssooo hard!

I told everyone right away :7 when we found out at about 4-5 weeks! As a matter of fact, I was telling people before the doc even confirmed it! I was screaming the results of the HPT from the roof tops! LOL

Julie, I don't know how you are able to hold out so long! We told our families almost immediately. I met my husband at his weekend meeting for the dinner on Saturday, and he said "Well, I told a few people, then I had to tell some other people so they wouldn't feel left out." Good thing he warned me, because people that I barely know were coming up and hugging me.

I'm 6 weeks now, and I'm waiting until 12 weeks or so to tell everyone at work.
 
well i had the nerve to tell dh he couldn't tell anyone (he couldn't wait) but i ruined it by telling all my family and friends...so of course i had to let him do the same. it's just too great of news to keep it inside for too long...:)
 
Julie, I am with you! DH and I are waiting until week 12 as well. We both feel that the more people you tell, the more you have to tell if something goes wrong. For some, that is fine. But for us, we are pretty private and would rather just keep it to ourselves. It is actually kind of fun to be the only ones to know :)

I think my office is getting an idea but I doubt anyone will be brave enough to ask why I am gaining weight and why my chest is getting bigger.

We also do not live near family so we are planning a trip the last weekend of the month so we can tell everyone in person. We have big plans for that and it should be a blast. In all fairness, I have told you guys, my best friend and my best online friend but DH doesn't know that }(
 
Hi,

We are waiting until Mother's day to tell. I'll be about 10 weeks along then. I have my first ob appointment today. I'm kind of nervous about it.

As far as work....I'm a teacher and I think I will wait until the new school year starts before I tell anyone at work. By then I will be about 5 1/2 months along. The school year here is from mid-August until the end of May. I think it would be fun to show up after the summer break looking pregnant and shocking everyone....:)

We waited till Mother's day with our first one...made up a cute little poem to go with a Willow Tree statue of a Grandma and a baby for both the Grandmas. With this pregnancy we told my Mom right away because she already expected to hear since she knew that we were going to try for a second. We probably would have waited until Christmas if she hadn't asked....then after we told her it was like the flood gates opened.
