What's the best way to use S&H

Hi Everyone - I just received S&H. I'm excited about using it and hoping it will bring me strength, definition, muscle pop, & fat loss. My question is how should I use it to get these results? I've been eating clean & working out to Cathe for some time now and lost 4 pounds and several inches. I want to lose one more pound to meet my short term goal. Some of the other DVD's I have include 4DS, MM, ME, PUB/PLB, PP/SS, IMAX2, SB, SJP, LIC. I purchased S&H hoping to shock my system.

Should I rotate it with 4DS? Should I use it for four weeks? Looking forward to your responses.

Thanks.
Carmen.

I used it exclusively for a 4 week rotation, and I really enjoyed the challenge. When I went back to a rotation with the Pyramid series, I noticed strength gains.

I plan on using it again in 2 months. I like to rotate circuits/muscle endurance workouts, medium to heavy weights, and then heavy weights with S&H.

Rotating it with 4DS is a pretty cool idea. I'll probably try that when I finally get 4DS.

I love this series!! I think a month long rotation would probably be the max you could do with the needed focus..this series never fails to leave me shaking like a chiuahua, as Cathe says during S & H Bi and Tri.

When I feel myself just going through the motions during my other weight workouts, I know it's time for another round of S & H!

Since it's your first time doing S&H, I'd suggest just doing it on its own for a few weeks to see what kinds of results you get from it.

Cathe mentions in one of the three S&H workouts that you might not want to do the series for longer than three weeks at a time, but I've used it for up to five weeks, and have had great results. I hope you love the series! It's one of my favorites! :)

As Leanne says, play with it to see how your body responds to it and then decide what to do after your initial 3 week Cathe-suggested rotation.

Personally, my body loves S&H. So when I do it, I stick with it for a while, like 6-7 weeks.

Alternatively, a lot of the time, what I do is combine it with a more endurance based lifting, each week. So, I'll lift S&H style for the upper body once each week and then do an endurance lift for the upper body each week. That way, you avoid the dreaded return to endurance lifting after a S&H rotation, where you find that you can barely complete the reps and it's killing you because you were so focussed on slow reps and heavy weights that lifting fast with high reps is painful!
