what workout plan................

Cathlete
worked best for you? and what were the results you saw from this plan? i'm still playing around with mine and trying to find the right balance.

In terms of WEIGHT LOSS, the most success I had was when I found Cathe about 4 months ago and started using Basic Step & Body Fusion. Since then, I have lost about 10 pounds.

In terms of strength gains and endurance, I have seen the best results with a one-body-part-per-day rotation. I am on week 3 of a 6 week rotation, and the difference in my arms is amazing!!

I think everyone's going to be a bit different, but this is what works and still is working for me. I've lost weight - about 14 lb, gained cardio endurance, power, muscle strength, and muscle endurance. Unfortunatly, I am on a 4wk Dr enforced hiatus to heal a knee injury, so lately its been a lot of upper body work, minor leg/glute work (lifts and abductions), ab work, and doggie walks, but I hope to be back on my normal plan soon. This is what I do:

2 days cardio - normally 1 step interval, and 1 kickbox, or 1 step interval and 1 regular step, and then 1 day of full body wieghts. I'll normally switch out the weight day on Fri, Sat, or Sun for a circuit workout that has a lot of weight work relative to the amount of cardio. I do abs on my weight day and sometimes will toss in an extra ab day if I feel like it. I also walk the dog daily. I use my paydays as a rest day - 2 days a month - because that's when I do the grocery shopping. By the time I work, then shop, get home and put everything away, I'm tired!!!

I was on a every other day cardio/weight/cardio/weight plan but it wasn't doing too much for me. This seems to be working really well. I've lost 14 lbs so far but everyone tells me it looks much more, but I attribute that to the lean muscle gain. I've still got some to go, but this seems to be working, so I'm going to keep at it. I've grown to like heavy lifting. I didn't like it so much at first, but with Cathe it seems to fly by and I can do more than I ever thought. I think the heavy weights really kicked my metabolism into gear. No more little pink weight for me!!!

I personally like to hit the weights hard in the evening-and do my cardio in the AM-great to get my body moving and my energy levels ready for the day ahead.
I then toss in one circuit workout to hit every body part once more, whether its a Cathe workout or the Squeeze workout. Here is a sample of what my personal workouts have been the past three weeks...

Day 1 AM- 30-45 minutes on elliptical-used Cardio Coach this week-whew!
PM: Leaner Legs/Abs

Day 2 AM-Amy Bento's Kickbox PM-S&H Chest/Back

Day3 AM-LIC Cardio Timesaver PM-P90X Shoulders and Arms/Ab Ripper X

Day4 AM-45 minutes on elliptical PM-The Squeeze workout with Tracey

Day5 AM-Cathe's Kickbox on CTX or KenpoX PM: Floorwork from B&G

Day6 Rest

Day7 AM- PlyoX PM- PS Legs/Abs

I work from home, have my own "gym" here at the house, making working out 2 times a day pretty easy to do. Its all about playing around with stuff-personally I cannot wait for Cathe's 4 day split, I love lifting heavier.

right now i'm torn between:
monday: upper body
tuesday: Imax2, cardio fusion, KPC, running, ellipical (45-60min)
wednesday: lower body
thrusday: another cardio
friday: full body
satureday: another cardio
and.................
monday: upper
tuesday: lower
wednesday: cardio
thursday: upper
friday: lower
satureday: cardio

i haven't really given any one split time so i can't really say which one right now. i was just curious what others are doing.
