What was Your First Dance song at your Wedding?

It was 1983 and my first husband and I danced to 'Love Lift Us Up Where We Belong'. The marriage lasted a little longer than the song, but not much :+

When I married again in '87 it was a city hall affair with lunch so there was no first dance but the marriage stood the test of time

So what was your first dance as husband and wife, or ex-husband and ex-wife, whatever:7

"The Nearness of You," played by a full big band! My husband is a musician, and one of the perks at the time was having "the band" play at our reception. It was lovely!

I wanted Meatloaf's Two out of Three ain't Bad, but the part where he sings "there ain't no way I'm ever gonna love you" didn't seem to be quite so appropriate for our wedding song.
We ended up with Elvis Presley - Can't Help falling in Love.
Tongues would have been wagging if we played the Meatloaf one.

We got married in 1989 and what other song wold you dance to but "I'll Always Love You" by Taylor Dane? AAAHHH.. the glorious 80's ( and how about those huge bows on the wedding dress, especially right on my butt and the huge pouf on the back of my headpiece coming out from the headband thing on my forehead! yup, the 80's were just so simple and elegant!)

"true companion", I can't remeber who sings it. We didn't have anything planned. My cousin was our DJ and he suggested it. It worked out pretty good. It's not "our song", my DH and I aren't really sentimental like that. I'll bet he doesn't even remember the song. I'll have to ask him later}( !
