sigh.....you send dh to do a simple task and all hell breaks loose!!! last night dh and i are laying in bed reading and we both have our pillows doubled and scrunched up...he remarks that we really need new pillows. ya think? so this a.m. he has to go to sears and being the considerate and dutiful man that he is, he asks me if i need anything while he is there....i say yes pillows!

the man comes home with 4 king size pillows and a receipt for $250.00!!!!! !@#%@&#** i said, "are you crazy? who pays this much for pillows? we only needed two anyway!!! " he says, "they were the only king size i could find." so i am thinking "do you know how many Cathe's i could get for $250?????" (but of course, i kept that to myself }( ) i had to show him on the several websites that he got robbed! i am a major bargain shopper and this was crazy! so guess who got nominated to return them tomorrow x(

gotta love men!

You know Jes....you just cannot send or boys...:)...out for something like this!!! I have been married for 24 years and he still thinks I might want to hunt with him.....HELLO!!!!!! Not friggin likely...:)...they are very cute though...:)...Carole

I cant send my DH out alone to do the weekly grocery shopping! How sad is that?

He ALWAYS detours from the list, forgets half the stuff on the list, never compares prises or brands (so it ends up costing alot more at checkout) and adds alot of junke food in there.

No! No! No!

Im sorry so say, in our house food shopping is a womans job

Oh, found the post, and I'm LMAO!! Jes, I can completely relate! I wouldn't dream of sending Peter out to do a job like this. He would likely find some cheap and decent king-sized pillows, and then buy a new bed to go with them ('cause ours is only a queen-size).

BTW, you really expect me to believe you were only reading? Yeah, that's how *my* pillows get scrunched! :)

Sandra

LOL! yes we were reading wiseass! you know when you prop yourself up to read..........oh, no wait, you probably don't read in bed since you been so busy gettin prego lately!!!! }( Good for you!!!! :p

jes

Oh I wouldn't say we don't read in bed at all...........there is that how-to manual that we like ;-)

Sandra

I sent my husband out to the grocery store last night for canned dog food and he only bought 4 cans instead of at least a weeks worth. He did get himself a weeks worth of junk food.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at this thread. As a guy, who does the meal planning, grocery shopping and cooking I can't imagine other guys that are that helpless.

Division of labor in our household is different from most I'll grant you ( I also work third shift and can get things done at times that the rest of the world isn't trying to.) I teach my Boy Scouts how to cook and plan meals. Didn't your DHs have to take Home Ec in school? My kids had it in Middle School!

Of course in defense of your DHs how many of you DWs are taking care of home and vehicle maintenance?

Dave

LOL.... Touche! :D

But then again, you gotta know what you're doing when it comes to maintenance. It's definitely way more complicated than grocery and/or pillow shopping.

I'm glad my hubby was taught how to shop, etc. too. Now it's the exact opposite. When I was single I budgeted everything to the tee and worked out every deal. Now that he's there to take care of things, I find myself actually spending $100 on a skirt and then thinking OMG! What did I just do? I won't even go into how much money I spend on exercise related stuff. Sheesh, I know my hubby would want to reply to that after me.

Oh this thread is way to funny! Everyone has cracked me up!! Sometimes I can really count on my DH to come through, other times I scrach my head and wonder if he took a stupied pill that morning.
My DH is a Marine so he thinks he is everything...and can do everything to perfection. Well ok so that is his problem, everything he does is to profection, white glove profection that is. :)
But if I were to send him out for pillows he would come home with the most expensive he could find and think he was a genius for it. And then in some areas where expense counts he falls short, that is where I scratch my head. :9
