What to do with old VHS videos?

I have a huge box filled with old VHS & some DVD's- classic Firms, Fit-Primes, a few Cathe's and some hodge podge of videos. I am ready to send them to the Goodwill. Is there any interest in these? Should I post them on the Ya-Ya boards? Does anyone do VHS anymore?

I love my old Firms, but not enough to purchase a VHS player for them.

I am in the middle of converting my VHS to DVD. I have a vhs/dvd player that will record to dvd. Many of the early firms can be converted as can all of the early Cathe, I haven't tried the FitPrime yet. It is just an idea if you have the technology.

I just can't say goodbye completely to them yet.

My honey burns them onto a DVD. It works out very well.

I will never give up the old Firms, Cathe, yoga's... and other exercise VHS's. I use them on a fairly regular basis, just to keep my body surprised.

Stll use the VHS player sometimes

Bridget:
I agree with Shayne and Janie about burning old VHS's to DVDs. For me, I still appreciate the old step videos from years ago -- mostly because the moves are simple to do where one can get a good workout.

As for me, I still use VHS machines for my video tape collection. I still have old Cathe tapes (Step 'n Motion anyone?) from 15-20 years ago -- and they still play well. I do worry about the availability of VHS machines , at stores, is the future. Wallmart still sells Magnavox machines even today -- so what I have done is do buy seven or eight Magnavox ahead of time, to use when one breaks down.

I still have my Kathy Smith tapes and dance workouts. I even have some Billy Blanks and Gin Miller. My TV has a built in VHS deck that use them with. Don't ever store them next to a CRT TV or set of speakers, both have built in magnets and can wipe clean/erase your tapes. If you don't want those tapes you can sell them online, donate them to good will or the local library.

I kept a few of my old step vhs and I'm glad I did because now I have COPD and they are easier for me to do without running out of breathe. I also reverted to them when I got out of the hospital and wasn't quite up to par.

Thanks for your replies everyone! I decided to post them on the Ya-Ya's board, and was pleasantly surprised with the results! Several people were asking about prime power fat burning- which was never one of my favorites, I even sold my old Firm Direct catalog & Firm towel- who would think that stuff would bring anything??

So glad I didn't send them to Goodwill!
