What should my first Seasun Z workout be?

I am going to try one of her workouts for the first time from Netflix. They have both Rock Steady Step and The Next Step. Which one would you recommend trying first? I looked at the clips on her website, but I just can't make a choice based on these. Just for reference I did Christi's Totally Cool Step the whole way through the first time without modifications. Thanks for your suggestions!!!

I would go with RSS first, only because I got that one with no problem, and TNS had me stumped in a couple of sections for awhile.
I have all the Christi's, and, based upon your abilities with her that is what I would suggest.

Then...you can get her latest, Straight Up Step, which is the bomb, imo!

I have RSS coming on Friday from Netflix, so I will let you know what I think! This one gets a lot of good press over on VF, so I am looking forward to it...

Karin,

I have RSS and TNS and the Bosu Blast - I just ordered her new Straight Up Step.

RSS seemed harder with the choreography than TNS to me anyway. The first part of RSS was a little harder to get down. The second part was much easier. The RSS has a much funner aspect than the Next Step in my opinion. They are both good step workouts and they both have good ab sections at the end.

The Bosu Blast is just that a blast! The core work at the end is really hard. I think Seasun has some really unique workouts.

What did the one poster mean by the Straight Up Step being the real bomb? I hope that is a good bomb - I tend to think of a bomb as a dud and the clip on her website was blurry but the step seemed to go at a good pace and did look quite fun.

I love to do fun step workouts - I love them to be challenging choreographically - I feel so accomplished when I get them and they seem to be more fun. Who doesn' like to have fun when they are working out?

Thanks for the opinions ladies.

Conni - Actually, I really want to try the Straight Up Step the most, but they don't have it at Netflix. I am trying to be responsible and see if I like Seasun first before buying.

Marie - Yes, please let me know how you like RSS once you try it. I am actually getting disc 1 of Fantastic Four by Christi from Netflix so that should keep me busy for awhile.

Cheryl - Yes, I am finding I am a bit choreographically starved at the moment. I am hoping that Seasun and Christi will change that :) . Also, I am getting Advanced Step Challenge from Amy Bento tomorrow. I am eager to give that one a try.

Karin

ETA - Cheryl, I forgot to ask. Did you try the BOSU Blast on a BOSU or did you sub a step?

Hi Karin,

Personally I like The Next Step better than RSS, but JMHO. Part of the reason which doesn't have anything really to do with the workout itself is that Seasun looks so thin in RSS that I worried about her. She looks (to me, at least) much better in both TNS and Straight up Step--not "heavy" just "healthy." I also think the warmup in RSS was a bit intense for a warmup. I obviously like Seasun since I have 3 of her workouts (waiting for the 4th that's on a preorder), enjoy her workouts, the intensity and choreography as well. Whichever one you choose, enjoy!

Leslie,

I have to agree - RSS seemed harder to me choregraphically and Seasun does seem really, really thin in that DVD. I remember the comments about it on this forum. I just kept doing the workout and I seemed to get past it. The amazing thing is she has three boys!

Karin- Yes, I did the BOSU BLAST with the bosu and it is an awesome workout. It is one i will do frequently. I will also do Sharon's just as much (Body Cardio) to have them both on the same DVD is really nice. Two for the price of one!

Cheryl

Cheryl,

Yes, I meant the "bomb" as being a good thing....

Seasun was actually ill the day of filming RSS, I believe she had a very high fever as well.

I think she looks just as thin in TNS, frankly, but that is jmo.

I think she looks great right now, pretty amazing for just having had a baby!
