What next?

Greetings:

I've been doing BodyMax 3-4 times a week for about 18 months. On alternate days I run 6-8 miles on a good "hilly" course. I have had excellent results with this combo but my body is taking a beating from the repetitious workouts. Could anyone suggest a good next step? I considered the CTX series but I like a longer cardio workout and not sure the strength training is challenging enough. I am not really interested in increasing my muscle mass, just maintaining and refining it (BM has given me all the mass I need)! Mostly, I just want some new variety and challenge - and ALL Cathe's tapes are so magnificent it is hard to choose what to conquer next!

Hi! Wow, Body Max--in its entirety, for 18months!! I would be burned out, too. How about something different? Try separating your strength from your cardio. The PS series is fabulous. You could alternate this with straight cardio. Most of Cathe's step tapes are an hour in length, all are intense. MIC is 30min each of hi-lo and step. IntervalMax is 10 intervals, along with cardio on the step. Both are very challenging. Rhythmic Step is fun, fun, fun! If you do PS once a week, you will definitely not bulk up. Or for muscle confusion, you could throw in Power Hour 2x per week. This is an endurance workout, all muscle groups are thoroughly worked out in under an hour. Geez, it sounds like I'm trying to sell you all Cathe's workouts( well, there is a volume discount)! I have all these I have mentioned, you can't go wrong with anything Cathe does! :p
 
Thanks so much for your suggestions! I will definately consider them when making my next Cathe purchases.
