What Magazines & Newspapers do you read?

Katie Couric's question to Sarah Palin got me thinkin' about this one.

What, if any, magazines or newspapers do you read? Any good recommendations?

I pick up Time and Newsweek here and there, but I haven't been a regular reader until now. As much as I dig zipping between the 3 major cable news channels, I'm starting to crave more print news (getting tired of the commercials, the flashy graphics, the same arguments, and getting half the story), so I think I'll finally cave in and officially subscribe.

Mags: I subscribe to Bust (the ONLY women's mag I like anymore), Paste, and Food & Wine. I'll buy a copy of Spin if there's an interview I think I'd like to read (like the Springsteen/Win Bulter "conversation" last year!), and sometimes I'll pick up a copy of Domino.

Newspapers: My local rag, The Richmond Times Dispatch; Sunday NY Times; and, not that it's a "real" newspaper, but I love The Onion!!!!

The magazines I read are: Rolling Stone, Oxygen and Runner's World.

I usually go online and read the local paper and the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Sun Times (b/c I used to live there).

I read the local papers, and national/international news online.

My magazines tend to be very utilitarian...Mother Earth News, Popular Woodworking, stuff like that. I'm a sucker for anything with a home made solar panel on the cover. :D

The NY Times newspaper and the New Yorker magazine are the only periodicals I subscribe to, not counting my professional periodicals. I'm not that good about reading the Times during the week, though. I mostly just read it on the weekend.

Newspapers: The Arizona Republic, NY Times

Magazines: Der Spiegel (German magazine), The Economist, occassionally Newsweek or Time, Eat Clean Magazine, Pet Age and The Whole Dog Journal

Due to budget reasons I just read through the online versions of Barron's, Forbes, Business Week, Wall Street Journal, Motley Fool and bizjournals.com

Plus several professional periodicals.

I read the local paper, the Poughkeepsie Journal, and we subscribe to the Economist and the Atlantic Monthly. And, of course, Allure!

I read "Scientific American". Most of the time it goes over my head, but I love challenges, it helps me use my mind beyond my comfort level. Besides, it is interesting and holds my attention. They write about String Theory, Parallel Universes, Quantum Gravity Theory, The Black Hole even the Competing Candidates, our brain,Future Ocean, geology, How to use energy: for instance, windmills under the ocean and using the power of the waves to make them work...and many many other topics.

Try it, you just may like it,

The Dallas Morning News (everyday), Time, The Sunday New York Times, Natural Health, Body + Soul, Martha Stewart Living...I think that's about it. I will get the new Food Network Magazine when it launches sometime this month, I believe.

Clean Eating, Creating Keepsakes, Cooking Light and occasionally something I pick up at the store like Style and then I read a lot about my industry, primarily online through Google scans but the sources are primarily The Packer, Supermarket News, FreshInfo (a UK based information feed), and a variety of perishables/grocery marketing sources.
