What kinda music do you workout to?

What really gets my adrenaline pumping is (to name a few):
Aerosmith
The White Stripes
Usher
Little John
Collective Soul
Nirvana

Can't listen to any of these while driving...got a speeding ticket while listening to The White Stripes. LOL!
Have a great workout!
Charlotte~~

The White Stripes (Yeah!)
B-52s
Outkast
Jimi Hendrix
Rolling Stones
The Who
Tina Turner
Grateful Dead (Truckin' and Casey Jones are great jogging songs for me)
Beck

Lots and lots more!

When I'm alone it's ROCKY all the way. It's makes me punch harder. I LOVE hitting the pads. I can do numerous sit up on the bench listening to this. Also Mortal Kombat. Almost anything medeval--Braveheart, things of that nature.

For cardio it's gotta be Techno, house music, remixes. Motown oldies but goodies.

When I run, I play heavy music on my MP3 which has helped me run faster. Bands such as Static X, Slipknot, and the Hives (not so heavy but FAST).

I usually work out to videos, so I just listen to whatever the soundtrack is. When I do workouts on my own (or use a workout like Slim series, where I turn the music OFF), I like to use workout specific music, like the "Powerstrike" CD or a couple of other workout blends called "Work This". The beat is strong, the music is pumping, and there are no sudden changes of tempo (going from a strong beat to a ballad).

Techno Techno Techno!!!

Jock jams are great for aerobics or weight workouts.
Musicflex Aerobics: 9,10,11,22,23,25
AC/DC
Motley Crew
The Lost Boys sound track
Pure Techno
Club Hits 2001

I have tons of compilation DVD's and I use them a lot

For cardio (racewalking on a treadmill), an oddball collection of MP3s that I like and/or that move enough, including Chess (soundtrack of the London production), Credence Clearwater, O'Brother soundtrack, Moulin Rouge soundtrack, Santana, really old Van Morrison album, Beatles, stuff from Shrek....

In my world, its all about classic rock!

I have an Ipod that I will download music into...very fun! I just finished making a playlist for treadmill running intervals. Boy, it sure helps to make the run go so much more quickly. And for some reason I have found that longer songs help make the time go for me quicker too than a bunch of shorter songs...

My faves are Meatloaf, The Beatles, and (I'm w/ Nancy) the Stones!!

Also, and I am prepared for mockery.. the Buffy Soundtracks (from the TV show not the movie) have great music too. (Plus I feel cool listening to music from something post 1990!! :)

Take care, Lynn M.

Laura - I think Static X would make awesome workout music! Mostly I am just working out to Cathe (and therefore Cathe's music) but WOW that's a great idea. I love to drive with Static X.

Classic rock for me too. Love the Stones, the Doors (all time favorite is Roadhouse Blues), ACDC, etc. I have to admit that lately I have been listening to the new live Goo Goo Dolls cd.
