I don't own any gems, didn't know there were so many cuts. I don't really understand this post! I'm soooo out of it here! My husband and I never got engaged. We just got married and couldn't afford a ring anyway, so the question never arose and still hasn't!

My DH says my favorite is all of the above. LOL He sure does know me. Hmmm.

My engagement ring is called an "American Brilliant Cut". It is old and gorgeous. It is set in platinum and truly beautiful. It is the only diamond I own, apart from some tiny ones in other jewelry. I am really not that "into" jewelry, but I love my ring. I only wear my engagement ring and wedding band. And earrings that's it.

LoL! Diane, that is what mine says too! but everytime i get diamonds i want them in emerald cut. i only have one princess cut. the other shapes just don't look right on my fingers and i want the shapes to match. american brilliant cut is very pretty!

Im abit like Clare. DH and I never got engaged in the TRUE sence so there was no ring, and when we decided to get married, putting a roof over our heads and being able to buy little necessitys like a fridge for eg, was far more important to us than buying wedding rings.

Soooooooo many moons later, we still have NO rings on our fingers but DH does have a huge ring through his nose that I pull him into line with

(only kidding)

But back on track...............I like them ALL

You have to stay in shape. My Grandmother started walking when she was 60. Today she is 97 and we don't know where the hell she is! - Ellen DeGeneres

My engagement ring is a marquis, but I love any diamond/gemstone. All cuts are beautiful IMO. The perfect setting makes any stone stand out.
