What is Slim Series & Pyramid Up or Down?

What is the Slim Series?

To increase muscle size should I pyramid up or down? Is Pyramid down the same as drop sets?
 
Slim Series is a set of 6 workouts by Beach Body (www.beachbody.com). These workouts are considered circuit training (though I did not get my HR up -- Debbie Siebers would say: Are you guys OK with your HR to the background exercisers, and I would be saying 'THAT was cardio?'). These are high rep, low weight (endurance) workouts. A lot of people at VF have found they work... lost a lot of inches, dropped size, etc. I have tried them but decided they are not for me... I love cardio and Cathe too much. I also prefer to do cardio and weights on alternate days.

Pyramid Up/Down -- don't know which work better for muscle size...

Pyramid Down is lowering the weight AND increasing rep after each set, i.e. 12-10-8 lbs with 8-10-12 reps. Drop set is keeping the weight constant but 'dropping' the rep, i.e. 12 lbs at 12-10-8 reps.
