What is cradle cap?

My 4 month old granddaughter has dry scalp causing excessive dry skin(dandruff). I've tried Head & Shoulders, but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

I didn't go to the links, so not sure what they say. But for my babies (they're now 13, 9 and 7), I'd wash their little headies in Selsun Blue (or any other dandruff shampoo) and then rub Olive Oil on their head. They smelled like they could be eated on a salad, but the oil TOTALLY worked!

I second the olive oil. Just be careful. Oil tends to drip and might get into the eyes.

We used Neutrogena T-Gel on our babies when they got cradle cap and that worked really well, too.

I usually used baby oil and scrubbed it into their scalp and then shampoo out, I really like Paul Mitchell Baby shampoo or the tea tree shampoo. The baby shampoo rinses out completely...my cousin's little girl had cradle cap so badly that her hair started to fall out, this combo worked well!
