What is beyond fitness goals

Cathe,
I was wondering if you still have particular fitness goals or are you just trying to maintain your current fitness level. Once you have achieved your physical goals, where do you go from there. I’m still working on reducing my body fat percentage, but don’t want to build too much more mass (just a little). I really enjoy the heavy lifting, though. If I stay with the weight that I have been lifting and don’t go much heavier, will I just maintain the muscle I have built or will it deteriorate if I don’t continue to “push” as hard as I have been?

An interesting question. I'd like to know the answer, too. I'm not yet at a point where I want to "maintain," but I'm hoping to get there someday!

I did just read an ACE article on fitness myths that says that you need to work out about 60 minutes a day to lose weight, and about 30 minutes a day to maintain health and fitness.

Goodness, this is a question that I would love to see more answers to.

I want to maintain but not lose, composition-wise, but also to gain strength and ability. I think helping others (a spiritual goal) may be key to good maintenance.

Cathe, what are your thoughts?
