hi cathe! :)

gee, i know you're probably crazy busy with all the new workouts coming up etc...but guess i'm just a "gawking cathe fan" :p ...and often wonder what a "typical (if there is such a thing! ;) ) day in the life of cathe friedrich" is like? are you up with sun? or are you a night owl? do you cook often? how do you juggle the kids, the gym and all the new projects? yikes, how do you do it???

gee wiz, sorry to bother you with these piddly questions, but you are such a celebrity to us..and i can't help but wishing i could be a 'fly on the wall'for a day, to watch you IN ACTION. :7

thanks, cathe!

RE: What is a

Oooohhhh good question! She is our celebrity!!:)
Yesterday when I told my sister that Cathe responded to one of my posts she nearly fell out of her chair and dropped the phone she was so excited! She immediatly told her husband and he was like "Cathe who?". She gave him a look(so she said), and he said "oh, you mean the exercise lady?"
Too funny!! She IS the exercise lady huh?

RE: What is a

Hi BQ! That seems to be changing as we speak ;-)

Gosh, let me see....I used to be a night owl (1am-ish bedtime), but lately it seems more like 11pm-ish.

If I had to describe a sort of typical day, I would say up early with boys. We hang out a bit and chat. Then breakfast and walk to the bus stop to see off my Kindergartener. Then take my three year old to pre-school. Then I go to work. Stay for the day (or into night if needed), then pick up both boys from their locations (or arrange to have them picked up if I need to stay at work). Get home from work with boys and play outside. Then dinner, homework (easy at this point), baths, bedtime stories, and bed.

This question was also asked of me a while back (before our new facility opened) and here was the response then. The actual things I do while at work for the day have not changed too much when I am not doing an outside assignment.

Hi Sabrina and Lynne! Are you sure you really want to know this. I used have have more typical days but I must admit the last few months have been consumed with more atypical days. I'm learning to "go with the flow" of what the day brings. The days have become atypical lately because I have been asked to do more (on or off location) work assignments that take me anywhere from hours to days at a time. Also, as we get closer to the new facility opening, there are many more meetings, auditions, interviews, and game plans to review.

But typically in the past my day went as follows:

Early Morning: Time with kids
Mid Morning: usually teach a class or do my own cardio
Late Morning: meetings, or interviews, or website work, or forums
Lunch: YES
Early Afternoon: phone calls, meetings for new facility, working on choreography, or on forums
Mid Afternoon: a quick lift and then back to choreograph
Late Afternoon: sometimes teach class and then home with kids
Dinner: family time
Early Evening: more family time: playtime, baths, stories, bedtime
Late Evening: choreograph

Weekends:
Family time by day and choreographing workouts by night(unless away on work assignment)

RE: What is a

Hi Carolyn! That is cute. Guess what? When I drive by work with the kids in the car, they will say "there's mommy's exercise house".

RE: What is a

Cathe, it's fun to read details like this. Thanks for sharing and I loved the "exercise house" comment. LOL! Even things your kid's say put a smile on my face!

RE: What is a

Cathe,
I have 2 boys too! I always get asked if I tried for a girl. NOPE! I love my boys. But, they do require huge amounts of energy. Thanks for helping supply me with it!:) :)

RE: What is a

Cathe,

Gosh, you make me feel lazy after reading all of that! LOL! You are super human, no doubt! I do remember those days when my children were younger.
