What Healthy Eating has done for me...

Went to McDonald's with DD. She orders a cheeseburger with fries. I get the side salad as I already ate a turkey sandwich at home. She lets me taste one of her french fries and I hated the taste of it. I had to spit it out. This has NEVER happened before with their fries! Probably the grease is just something I am no longer accustomed to anymore, but I know I will still eat baked fries if I chose. Wish I could feel that way about ice cream or chocolate candies, but one step at a time. Still a huge accomplishment.

YOU SPIT OUT A FRENCH FRY?????

I salute you and your willpower or changed tastebuds or whatever it is. I've never met a french fry I didn't like. I don't EVER order them, but if someone else does, I'm never saying no to the offer "wanna fry?".:p

Charlotte, Good for you! I commend you. They aren't my weakness but sweets are and I do my best to avoid them. Have you ever tried "no pudge" brownie mix? I get it at the local grocery store and when I crave sweets I bake those. They are fat free and really good. Still not good for you I know but better then the regular ones with tons of fat. :)

Charlotte...I really feel the longer you go without the "bad" stuff, the nastier it does taste. You did great, yes a huge accomplishent! I was never a french fry fan myself...but onion rings...}( :p :) ...Carole

I have to admit I don't eat fries regularly, but if I'm out to dinner with anyone & they have fries, I will grab one or two off their plate. :9
