I read September's book but missed it if there was a discussion. Are we reading a new book? Did this idea bomb due to everyone's busy schedules? Anyone have any suggestions of good reads? i am almost done with my current book and i will be needing another one!

Black Creek Crossing: John Saul
Good in Bed: Jennifer Weiner

I couldn't put these two down.

I know it is old, but I just got around to reading it over the summer:
Wicked: Gregory Mcguire

I just started reading the Janet Evanovich series. I am on the second, "Two for the Dough". I am really enjoying them, very funny.

Sounds good to me. I'll have to purchase them, and catch up.

I'll look froward to your posts, about the books.

I love the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich, too! I just started Eleven on Top. I had to wait forever for it at the library. I was going to splurge and buy it, but all the stores have been sold out and I didn't want to pay shipping. It's a great series, along with my other favorite-Kinsey Milhone by Sue Grafton---it's ABCDE....and also a fun read!

I have wondered and posted the same thing:) I read Kite Runner and absolutely loved it, and if that was the correct book I would be more than happy to discuss away.....I also have it if anyone else would like to read it!

I second the Stephanie Plum series for easy, light, funny reading. Not a lot of depth there but they are hilarious!

Love Stephanie Plum! Love Kinsey Milhone. Anyone else love Inspector Lindley and Barbara Havers?

I read The Kite Runner, but I have a feeling no one could figure out to discuss it on-line. Since then, I loaned it to a friend to read on her flight back to Thailand.

I think The Time Travelers Wife or The Bee Season would also make good club books.

I had the Time Travelers Wife in my cart a few weeks ago at the store but I wound up putting it back. It looked interesting. I agree, it would be a good club book.
