What gives you the tingles?

I have a set of Reed & Barton Hammered cutlery that I bought years ago. I LOVE this set. Every time I use a fork or spoon, every day, I get this little tingle, telling me what a good purchase it was. I like the feel in my hand, the shape, the look of the set; it feels special to me and I feel just a little special when I eat my salad with it. It was expensive, and I had to look hard for it. But for some reason, it was maybe the best purchase I ever made.

So my question is: what is the purchase that you made, that makes you tingle every time you see/use it? That thing that reminds you I'M SO GLAD I BOUGHT THIS! It may be something that no one else would understand why you dig it so much or it may be just the most useful thing you have ever had, but it has to be something that you just never get tired of and that you would mourn if you lost it.

Let's leave out fitness DVDs and equipment, because that would be too hard to narrow down!

2 kitchen things

my bamf cuisinart food processor and my kitchenaid stand mixer. i actually have 2 kitchenaids. the smaller one is pink and The Beast is metallic gray.
i use these things all. the. time.

My Keurig single-cup coffee brewer! I can't imagine going back to life without it!!!

I saw one of these advertised in a Kohl's flyer. I guess it's a goodie? I am looking for a new small serving coffee pot cause the one I have is cheap, one year old and fading fast. It's pricey but if it's going to last me then I may consider it...perhaps a good thing to ask for for my Birthday in April!;)

The house where I'm living now has such low water pressure we could not take a shower and feel clean. So we bought a pressure booster pump and installed it and purchased a nice shower head. It is just luxury to take a wonderfull full spray shower.

Well worth the money paid to install it.

Fun question!!

I've collected a few antiques over the years which I dearly love and that make me smile every time I look at them. I remember exactly where I found each item, the feelings they evoked, and the sense that each piece was meant for me. These items include 4 paintings, a crewel embroidered sampler, a pair of brass wall sconces that my husband gave me for our 22nd anniversary, and a few small decorative items.

I bought a Japanese cast iron teapot which I just love! I pick out one of my Grandma's fancy china teacup & saucer and I feel like I'm having a grown up tea party;)

My pressure cooker, which I thought was expensive, BUT is well worth 2-3x what I paid :D Another kitchen item I don't use all the time, but absolutely LOVE when I do, is my Cuisinart!

Wendy -
I got my Keurig Brewer three years ago for Christmas from my MIL. Not a day has gone by that I don't think to myself how much I love it. The coffee is great - tons of varieties now to choose from - and also it can be used for just hot water which comes in great for teabags or even hot chocolate (swiss miss) for the kids!

I have coveted this for a while now, from afar. Still prefer to get fitness stuff instead though!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my keurig, I've had one at home for at least 3 years now, and it's still going strong, and I have one at work too. It's my best kitchen item EVER!

For anyone interested in buying, make sure to compare prices, Amazon often has good prices, and price clubs like Costco carry them at a good price too, they also sell the cups in bulk for a fair price, but it limits you to just one kind. Buy the coffee online, there are much better deals than buying them in the stores.

My kitchenaid double belgium waffle maker. It was expensive and is a heavy beast but makes wonderful waffles.

I just love kitchen appliances, and I really spoil myself with them. I love my new bread maker soooo much. And we also just got a new coffeemaker--Cuisinart Coffee on Demand. I program so it's ready when I get up. I love the no carafe style and the coffee is wonderful! I switched from my Senseo and I really think fresh ground coffee is so much tastier than the pods.

Here's the coffee maker, but I bought it at Bed Bath and Beyond with a 20% off coupon--that's 20 bucks off!

My Le Creuset dutch oven (which I used this weekend, as a matter of fact). Love it!!
And my shiny chrome KitchenAid food processor (I want to get a new blender to match it - mind you, my current blender works perfectly well, when I use it). I recently got new flatware that I love, love, love. They are so pretty and comfortable. It's like eating my food with sculpture/art. Oh - it's not a thing, per se, but I just bought drawer organizers and redid my kitchen drawers. They are so orderly, it makes me very happy. And I can think of several pair of shoes that make me very happy when I wear them.
