What does everyone have planned for Fathers Day?

My DH decided he wanted to have Monicals Pizza. That is what we are having. The boys and I bought him two shirts, a watch, and a CD. The boys also picked out their own cards to give him. They are hilarious. We plan on visiting my FIL later in the day. Could end up going out for ice cream. There goes my eating for the day. It is for a good cause though.:p

I get to go spend quality time with my SO's freakin' family. Look at me being all excited and stuff. My daughter will be with her Dad for Father's Day, which is only fitting.

So, yeah, Sunday I get to spend the afternoon with my SO's poodle stepmother, his not very smart yet extremely opinionated father, his nice but oh my not a lot of brains sister and her husband and their three boys.

I think I might be coming down with something.;)

LOL - thanks Sabrina. Oh, it will be. But at least it's only a couple of hours. And just think. My SO will owe me BIG TIME}(

The kids and I are taking him to breakfast instead of lunch or dinner. He said all he wants for fathers day is being able to stay at home and watch the nextel nascar racing. He is such a racing fan. The kids also have bought him a new bathing suit and a card. So that is our fathers day.

We've been under a lot of stress lately, so I'm going to go to his gym on Saturday and get him a certificate for a massage. He'll love it.

I'm having a cook out here, but I don't mind then I can control the menu. My dh's family is Greek, need I say more! LOL! I'm still planning the menu. Have lots of shopping to do...food, gifts, cards, etc.!

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

My DH, no real sperm donor as of yet, nor does he ever plan to be, will get a few gifts from his "babies." Yes, the dogs & cats.

He is the most difficult person to buy for, that's why I usually don't get him anything. This year, however, he shall get a gift certificate to Border's book stores, a Target certificate (I don't even shop there and yes it's amazing we're together!) and some good chocolate chip cookies from Corner Bakerie. I decided to be nice this year. I usually don't get him anything, he's too picky.

dh and i are taking his dad to lunch and my dad is coming over for dinner. i'm not sure what i am cooking though. i got dh cards from the dogs. today is dh's birthday and i am getting him a big workbench to go in his computer building "area" . it's pretty big and its the only thing he wanted so it can be his father's day present too.

jes:)

Ooh Marla I'm in the same position as you! I have to have the cats give their dad a gift. They've already signed the cards, now we just have to find the right gift.
They gave me a bag of Peanut Dark Chocolate M&Ms (from George) and Plain Dark Chocolate M&Ms (from Gracie) for Mother's Day. (DH wanted them far more than I did, but it was sweet.)
So I've got to figure out a little something they can save their allowance up to spend on...
:)

As for MY dad, we got him and my mom their own bowling shoes. They have their own balls, and when we all 4 go bowling my folks are jealous of our shoes as they have to rent.
We got her a pair of bright pink ones, and his are dark with silver accents. It's hilarious.

DH wants to take a ride on his bike (he still won't take me on it), then we're going to go out to dinner w/ my Dad and a quick visit to the FIL's.

My stepson's finance's father and stepmom were nice enough to invite us over for a barbecue. That way, both my stepson and his fiance get to be with their dads on father's day!

A friend of mine and I bought tickets for our dh's and our sons to go to Star Wars. She, my dd and I will find a chick flick. Then it'll be ice cream somewhere in celebration of Father's Day, a Gr. 8 grad and a b'day.

Hmmmm. I forgot about my own dad! What am I doing for him? I'll have to think on that one.

I'm a single parent, and my ex doesn't pay child support. So father's day (and his birthday / Xmas) always causes a dilemma for me. Do I or don't I make sure the kids have something for him or have a bit of money to do something with him. I do not want to do him any favours or spend money on him.

I'd like to use him as a punching bag when doing KPC or KM, however, in the best interest of my kids, I have gotten him a season pass to a family theme park (my kids have one too and I didn't have to pay extra for him), so they can ride the roller coasters together until November.

We will be going to the drag races on Sunday. (what we always do on a Sunday). My son wants to make DH breakfast (he has requested scrambled eggs & sausage). And last night I cleaned the entire inside of his truck - he does concrete for a living so you can imagine how filthy the truck was. Took me almost 2 hours to clean! That was his Father's Day gift.

DH always tells me he does not want anything. However, I bought him a new pair of khakis and 3 shirts he can wear to work. We are also going back to my FIL's house for the weekend to celebrate Father's Day and DS's 3rd birthday. It should be a lot of fun.
