What do you think of Micheal Jackson?

I am drinking my morning coffee and watching the news.We have went from bad to worse. The war in Iraq to this.
Personnally,I think, where ever there is smoke there is fire.He as been accused of this stuff for so many years, there must be something behind it.He just looks so odd, that it probably doesn't help much.
Sometimes I feel sorry for him b/c he seems so meek, mild and harmless. But there is also no doubt that he is not normal.
I have no time for adults doing unthinkable things to helpless kids. They say its only b/c its Micheal,he is being accused...funny how come 1/2 of the celebrites have not been accused of this stuff.
I am just glad that it is finally going to the courts and they can make up their minds if it is true or not, instead of just reading magazines.
What does everyone else think? DO we have any Micheal haters or lovers out there? I don't hate him...I just think hes odd and patheitc.
Lori:)

As Charlotte stated...I also agree with you 100% Lori. I go from feeling sorry for him to him making me sick if he is guilty...Time for the Court System to work things out...:)...Carole

Hi Lori and Lorihart.I remenbered the first time I saw the videoclip of Thriller. Guuuuau.Michael was my first love. I was only a child. He is a music genius.Nobody can dance like him .He did something that nobody did before. There is a before and after Thriller.I admire him but if he is guilty he must go to the jail.I feel sadness when I see him.Anyway I think we have to wait to the judgment before condemn him.I don't like the public judgments in the TV channels.

Mariángeles a spanish terminator junkie. :) :)

For the most part, I do not understand him. I do think he took a wrong turn at some point in his life. Who knows what the presssures of being a star from such a young age have been on him. There is briliance in there somewhere, as Stayfit's comments on Thriller stated.

I do not read tabloids. I don't really know what he has beeen accused of by the courts. Neither am I interested.

What I understand the least about him is his multiple surgeries and treatments to deny his racial heritage. Except, this is quite understandable on another level. He's a walking testament to the racial problem in this country. He's a living, breathing cultural symptom.

I think his music wonderful. As far as his behavior I think he's deeply disturbed and that's okay as long as he doesn't hurt anyone. The accusations need to be investigated especially because we're talking about children.

But.....I remember seeing him hanging his own son over a balcony. Yes, I think he could have done the things he's accused of.

I forgot about that. That was a weird to.
Stayfit-Well, atleast when you were a child and you had your little crush, he was normal looking. That was before he had all of those surgeries. When my daughter sees him on t.v now, she asks whats wrong with him b/c he looks strange and she is only 8.
I can remember thriller.I was to scared to watch it! I still don't like scary things but I can manage to watch it now.:)

I have seen a more unbiased documentary on him that explained many of his actions, as irrational as they are. He was mercilessly teased as a boy about how his nose was larger than the rest of the Jackson boys.

He also did nothing but work, i.e., practice and perform & worked harder than the rest of his brothers. Taking him out of the socialization with what should have been his normal peer group, contributed to his arrested developement. Not to mention he witnessed his brothers & father participating in sex with groupies many times at a pre-teen age. His mom being a devout JW & his father having sex behind her back was said to be a major source of internal conflict for him. That would explain is hesitance to have a normal female-male affair. I would not be surprised if he didn't even like sex.

I know I sound pro- Michael. No. That's not the case. I would just like the truth to come out. I think it's possible he molested these kids. I also think it's possible he is just that strange. Being strange doesn't make you a child molester.

Just the fact that he was a grown assed man sleeping in the same bed with a little boy spells trouble. That is not normal behavior. He is not mentally handicapped where he has a mind of a chid. He sure enough has a head for business and publicity. I guess I will have to let the courts decide based on the evidence they have.

Thank you! I feel the same way. I don't get the parents either. How can you allow your kid to stay with him? I know, I know, 'But he's MICHAEL'! Big fat hairy deal, I wouldn't let my kid spend the night at some grown mans house unless it was a relative, with no record, that I needed to babysit...and even then I'd look at 'em twice.

I think his music and life have gone straight downhill from "Thriller." If you look at his early work and look at him now, he looks so different and just... creepy. I think that whole family is very, very strange, but they say that fame does that to you. I also think he is guilty; like other people have said, this isn't some random accusation, and he has paid off other accusers....ick.

Cheers,
Marie

He makes me sad, too.

I'm not sure if changing his looks so drastically is because he's trying to deny his racial heritage per se. That's a logical conclusion, because he certainly looks more white than black these days. But to me, it's more likely that he dislikes HIMSELF so much (for many complicated reasons, but also possibly because he's a pedophile), that he's trying to escape from who he is by having all this surgery. Of course, escaping from himself also includes denying his race.

If you heard of a 46-year-old man in your town who slept in the same bed with young boys, you'd be mighty suspicious, and you certainly wouldn't want your son sleeping in the same bed with him.

My brother-in-law's answer to his guilt or innocence is always: if it looks like a duck and walks like a duck, it's a duck.

I believe of course, that he deserves a fair trial and I'll reserve judgment until he's convicted or not.

If my kid was sexually abused, I wouldn't take millions out of settlement & then not be able to talk about him. I'd want to expose him for the pedophile he is, if it were true. I'd want him to see some jail time & would pursue that avenue first. If for some reason he got off like OJ, then I'd file a civil case. But, I would puke if I took millions for this and didn't attempt to seek justice.

Well, regardless of what he is accused of some facts remain; He has "sleepovers with little boys", he dangles a child over a balcony, and he no longer resembles anything remotely resembling a human being. Notice his big "supporters" are nowhere to be found anymore either; Liz Taylor, Macaulay Culkin, etc.

Frankly, I think he is a sick person who really believes that what he does is okay. I don't think Jail is necessarily the answer, but he cannot be around these children like he is..
JMO.

Yes, I agree the parents are as much to blame. And even if the parents got a zillion dollars that does not mean that the boy was not abused. Parents do alot of stupid things that may leave one scratching his head, but just bc they took money doesn't mean it didn't happen. And why would Micheal give them the money if he was innocent?

Marla,
I've seen similar documentaries. It sounds to me like his parents, especially his father, really screwed him up. As you say, it doesn't excuse his behavior, but the problem didn't start with him. I alternately feel sorry for him, find him imcomprehensible (and don't know why noone has ever sat him down and said "Michael, X is strange" X = having so many surgeries, having little kids sleep in your bed, etc. Or,"Michael, you need help" It seems like when he became an adult, everyone catered to his indulgences, and he lived ina make-believe world. )

I don't know if he actually molested the boys, or if he is just completely asexual. I've seen him as the latter for quite a while.

Interesting: on the documentary I saw, one of his acquaintances said that Michael called him once, using his REAL voice, and the man didn't recognize him because his real voice is rather deep.

Dick Gregory said: "Only in America can a poor black boy grow up to be a rich white man"

Kathryn, I've just felt totally sorry for him for quite a long time. This coming from a kid that was molested when I spent the summer at my aunt's house in Houston when I was around 6 or 7, so long ago, I can't remember.

So, I want to make sure, that you guys that voice your opinions readily will kind of take heed.

I do NOT accept pedophiles NOR feel sorry for them. I am also on the record for believing they are incorrigible.

All, that said, I hope MJ gets a fair trial. Everything I've read about his life makes me so glad mine is plain and simple.

Believe it or not, I spent several minutes (maybe an hour) talking to him when I was 16 (24 years ago), so he was, what?, 18? 20?

At the time he had just done the Wiz & was said to be dating Diana Ross. We were at Disne World & he was staying in the same hotel we were. He was very soft spoken & SOOOO nice. I mean, here was this guy who was coming into his own.

Whatever happened to him, he certainly has let the media portray him as a freak. I would think that if he wasn't what the media is portraying his attornies could put a stop to it. I look at him now & I'm just sad.
