What do you think about this?

Hi,
I was reading in a back issue of M&F Hers that too much cardio can be detrimental to gaining muscle. I also read how great interval workouts are. I am thinking of cutting back on cardio to 3 times per week (30-40 min. each) but making my cardio workouts interval workouts. For example, last week I did IMax once and 2 interval treadmill workouts (30min each), along with S&H.

I cannot get the scale to budge below 135 pounds (I am 5'6 and want to get to 130) no matter what I do. I am hoping interval work does something. Prior to this I have been doing cardio 4-5 times per week and weights 1-2 times per body part per week (PS, S&H, MIS, PH, etc.). On S&H I gained 2 lbs. so now I am back to 137 - hopefully that was 2 lbs. of muscle!!!

Just wondering if anyone has tried this and what the expert crowd thinks about my idea! I would love if it works because I obviously will be spending less time working out this way :).

Also, I am now in need of extremely intense or interval-type workouts. IMax is great. My treadmill is great. Any other tapes you know of that are at this level? I know MIC is hard too and has some intervals.

Thanks for reading - looking forward to hearing your comments!
