:D Hi All! Glad to be back! I still have not heard from some of my old workout Catheite buddies:( Anyway, I like the intensity (no pun intended), challenge, sweat factor, music, clothes, crew, set, choreography, hair, makeup, etc. You name it, I like it! I do not dislike anything about Cathe workouts! I guess that is why I have been faithful to her for 15 years now. ;-)

RE: What do you like best and least about Cathe workout...

Hi! I have no complaint! I love the way she makes me work at an advanced level, the music, the fun factor, the humor, and the way I feel when I'm done. Never mind that my arms are well defined!!!!!:7 :7 :7

She has fantastic variety and is always making things fresh.

I also love that the workouts that are not my favorites I still enjoy and would never get rid of!

RE: What do you like best and least about Cathe workout...

no complaints here. her workouts provide the challenge that i need since i'm an advanced exerciser. i agree with the time factor but the premixes fixed that so now she is perfect.

I love her "Cathe" personality. Half the time I am dying and she always says something that makes me giggle and want to keep going. I like best is that she is real!

Well, I only have one Cathe workout, KPC, and I have zero complaints, there is nothing I dislike about this video. I am more than willing to pay a little more for quality, and this was/is a quality production.

With the DVD technology now available, it's nice to see someone use it..premixes, workout blender, different audio levels.

That said, that is really all eye candy, the proof is in the sweat and the endorphin rush, and to say I feel great after completing this workout would be an understatement.

I never thought I would be at a point where I'd be counting the days until my next workout, I'm at that point now!

What a GREAT post! I love everything about Cathe - her athleticism, professionalism, and creativity! She is the only instructor on earth who has made step tolerable for me (and I am a former step aerobics instructor myself!!). She pushes us to the limit each time, and I LOVE IT!!

I ditto everything said above. The challenge, the fun choreography, the Cathe-isms ("you look so good doing that!" or "this is a blast, so act like you're having one!), the sweat factor, the fit and toned women she has in her crew (not to mention Cathe's buff body too!), and the way she makes me LOVE working out, and LOVE my body!

Despite everything I love about Cathe workouts, the two problems I have are this:

First:
Despite SNM graciously replacing all those messed up DVDs last year, my five copies of those workouts still have the crappiest sound of any of her DVDs that I own. Oftentimes I still can't hear her over the music. These are the only workouts where I miss choreography - and only because I didn't hear the cues.

Second, I reallized why I can't bear to use BMax2 - I can't stand the soundtrack. *Great* workout - yucky music!

Of course, strictly IMHO. YMMV. I'm sure there's Catheites out there who really dig the BMax2 music!

Where do I start?!?! I love all her stuff! I think I especially love Cathe's personality, but also her fun choreography and the high quality of the workouts. I love the fact that I can do her videos day after day and not get tired of her. I still use some other instructors, but there are no others who I feel like working out with several times a week.

What I like least: well, this is not a normal opinion, but I don't really care for the Imaxes (though I haven't tried Imax 3 yet). I prefer the more complicated choreography of workouts such as Rhythmic Step and Step Blast. That being said, I still do the Imaxes and I know they are great for major intensity on days when that's what I need.

And that brings me to one more thing that is awesome about Cathe's collection of workouts--variety. You can really cross-train with just a few of her workouts; weights (strength or endurance, 3-day splits or total body or circuits), kickboxing, step (interval or steady state), and hi/lo. Who else offers so much?

I love them for all the reasons stated above. They are so challenging and fun. Cathe is an inspiration, as is the rest of her crew.

I do wish however, they other gals could talk in the workouts, it would be fun to hear Brenda growl in the background as Cathe cheerily tells us 4 more reps, or have Jai yell out, c'mon guys, you can do it! You know what I mean. I would like to more about the women I work out with!
I wish they would post tidbits in the blog or something, kind of like they did awhile ago.

Also, the workouts can be too long, but that is why there are the pre-mixes, but I always feel guilty doing them for some reason, which is why I am glad her next series are alot of work in a short period of time-my favorite way to workout!:7
