What do you dog lovers think of a bassett/beagle mix?

Laura - I'm pretty late joining in here. I know nothing about bassetts but I do have a friend who has a beagle and says it's the breed she'd been looking for all her life. :)

Laura - I'm glad to hear hear she's not a nervous dog. I wish you all the best with her! I hope you know I was asking questions to make you think, not to tell you that I do not think you are capable of handling this girl. I know your love of animals and especially your pups - it really shines through. She'll have one heck of a mistress. Keep us informed and take LOTS of pics!!!!!!!
 
"daisy may" I had a golden retriever named that,LOL

I also had a beagle(I was about fourteen),and what I can remember about "toby" was he was very gentle and a good watch dog!

bassetthound/beagle mix sounds like a good mix! Shes so cute,look at those eyes!

How adorable!!! I don't know anything about the barking & howling but she sounds like a really good mix to me. I hope she makes a good companion for Max. He sure has been through a lot... & you have too. So have fun with your new little girl if you get her & please keep us updated. Oh yeah... send LOTS more pictures too!:)
