I have many fitness VHS and DVD workouts that I no longer use and that I have been unable to sell or trade on any of the forums. Some of them or outdated, I have outgrown them, I am just sick of them or I purchased them and hated the workout. I have considered throwing them away or giving them to charity since they are just collecting dust. Every time I get ready to do just that, I cannot seem to bring myself to do it! MY DH keeps saying get rid of them and that they are just taking up space. If I have not done a particular workout in 12-18 months then it usually goes to the 'dead workout" box in my house.

I was just wondering what do you do with your workouts that you no longer use and cannot trade or sell? What is the average use of most of your workouts? I would say that many ( but not all) of my non- Cathe workouts, I use for about a year, but after that I am sick of them. Some (like Cathe's are definitely keepers).

I'll probably donate a bunch to whichever family member has a yardsale next. Right now, like you said, they're just gathering dust. It drives me nuts.

I donate all of mine to my local library. They will either but them on the shelves or sell them when they have book sales.

I really only buy the ones that I know I'll like and use. I still have all my Taebo tapes. I don't use them very often but I'll probably keep them because I enjoy the Live versions that are hard to get. The only other dvds I have are Cathe's, Mindy Mylrea, P90X and 3 Kettlebell dvds.

I keep them for a little while, then give them to Goodwill. Or sometimes I give them to friends who might be interested.

VideoFitness has a thread where folks post their vids for an SASE (self addressed stamped envelope.) The vids seem to go very fast and find new good vidiot homes.

The house I'm living in/rehabbing is in a poor neighborhood so donating them to local charities where local people can really use them makes most sense for me. Still, as I RE-review all my old workouts I'm finding lots of usable stuff (i.e. strong ab routines at the end of lame step workouts). But anything that's 100% lame is just clutter that has to go.
