What did you feel on the day you found out you were pregnant?

I know most of you felt emotionally excited, but I'm wondering what you felt PHYSICALLY? I was due for my period yesterday, so I took a pregnancy test Sunday. It was negative. So since this is my third month of TTC, I figured we were just not pregnant and would just try again next month. Well, here I am the day AFTER my period was supposed to be here, and I still do not have my period. I haven't even felt the bloating I always get, and the cramping. I've had a different sort of cramping feeling, but NOTHING as strong as I do when I have PMS.

Did you have other little physical signs? I'm wondering whether I should wait another day or so before testing . . .It's so hard to determine "pregnancy signs" vs. "period signs." They seem so similar.

Hi,
The biggest early sign I got was exhaustion, no other early signs. Wait another day, then try testing again. Unfortunately, it may just be that your cycle was off this month and you ovulated later than you predicted.. Good luck! If you aren't pregnant, I strongly recommend the book taking charge of your fertilty, and then do temp charting. Temp. charting can accurately show if you are pregnant.

The book Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler is excellent like shopaholic said.

When I got pregnant my biggest sign was feeling the usual cramping and bloating associated my period - but it would peak and then abate like going up and down on a rollercoaster. So, I began to wonder what was going on, will my period ever arrive? It seems to want to, but then the symptoms go away? I really think that the symptoms vary from woman to woman. I also felt VERY hungry (famished almost) and a little more tired than usual. But, I attributed the hunger to period cravings and the exhaustion to my schedule. The symptoms really intensified with each week and about 5 days after my period was due, I stopped cramping altogether. I would also recommend taking another pregnancy test just to be sure. good luck;)

Hi!
The biggest early sign I had was bloating similar to what you get with your period, except it just doesn't go away. I also had breast tenderness.

RE: What did you feel on the day you found out you were...

I thought for sure I would have the same early pregnancy symptoms with #2 that I had with my daughter. With her my breasts felt sore almost immediately after ovulation (I charted), then fatigue and bloating set in and also some cramping around the time of implantation. This time, I didn't feel anything out of the ordinary until the day before I decided to take a pregnancy test. That was breast tenderness. Both times I waited until 19 days past ovulation to take the test to make sure it was a definite + or -. For both, by the time I took the hpt I knew I was pregnant. It's so rare that I get breast tenderness during my period that I figured I had to pregnant to have such soreness!

The only early sign of pregnancy was the same for both of my kids which was early morning fatigue. i am an early riser and i have a ton of energy in the morning. other than that i did not notice any other signs. the fatigue was very noticible though so when i was preggo the 2nd time around i knew it right away. if today is the day of your missed period or the day after than i would test. i could not wait to find out if i was pregnant and i would take tests 3 days before my period was even due.

RE: What did you feel on the day you found out you were...

Hubby and I just found out last night actually, and I tested because one, I was late (although I have irregular periods), and two, because I was sick as a dog with diarrhea, bloating, severe gas, nausea, and vomiting. Sure enough, we tested and got a DARK positive!!

My physical signs were that I was really tired. I also had mild cramps so I thought I was going to get my period for sure. I tested the day after I missed it.

Early pregnancy for me felt just like a strong bout of PMS - all the usual feelings, just intensified. And the third pregnancy, I began craving pepper on everything I ate, and I don't like pepper. The evening I found myself putting pepper on my dinner, I immediately went to the bathroom and tested. Yup, it was positive.

I hope you're successful!
