<---what child is this

buffettgirl

Cathlete
<---thinks that every morning when she looks in DD's room and sees the crib
<---LOL at last night's shenanigans
<---hopes Michele's migraine is gone
<---really wants to know what Michele's DH did to last night
<---is sorry to have missed Melody while she had time to sit and chat
<---has a full day planned with work, caroling with church group, open house at pastor's house and maybe pizza with friends
<---didn't sleep very well again
<---woke up and thought about stuff
<---adds that it wasn't serious or scary stuff either
<---tells you it was stupid stuff like what to make for party at work, when to make the chex mix, if the potatos and green beans will fit in the oven on Christmas day, what kind of rolls to serve, when should the grocery shopping get done, what should be served for lunches
<---sometimes thinks driving 8 hours to let the other family members worry about this stuff would be worth it
<---is off to pack lunch and head to work
<---will chat later if it's (relatively) slow

<--:) at Robin looking and seeing the crib
<--sounds like Robin's brain didn't get the "sleep" memo!
<--does that sometimes and it drives <-- crazy!
<--also is wondering when to make chex mix
<--tells Robin that <-- made Honey Nut chex mix last year that was super addicting!
<--had to hide it in the garage so that <--didn't eat it all!
<--since it was only <-- and the cats last Christmas, the hiding didn't work all that well;-) }( :9
<--one more day of work before having to whip the house into shape for Mom and Dad!

<---is at work waving at Amy
<---severly rations the chex mix, along with the cookies and caramel corn
<---forgot to put "whipping the house into shape for company" on list of things to do
<---company won't be arriving until Sat afternoon, so there should (should) be plenty of time
<---hears timer and has to get back to the bacteria
<---says this little germy went to market, this little germy stayed home...
<---tells you they like to be played with

<--waves to Robin and Amy.
<--knows about lying awake thinking.
<--goes through phases where <--does that.
<--hates it!
<--tells Amy that <--will be happy to hide the chex mix for her anytime!;)

<--- waves good morning to the ladies
<--- has another busy day ahead
<--- says today is baking day
<--- and shopping day
<--- and wrapping day
<--- loves that Robin plays with her germs
<--- says her BIL makes the best Chex mix EVER and it's totally addictive
<--- must run but will try to pop back in later!

<--waves at Robin at work playing with the germies~
<--knows that germies like to be played with, but also knows too well that they like to play!!!
<--also knows that germies don't play nice in the sandbox!
<--LOL at TiG hiding <--'s chex mix!
<--likes to put LOTS of nuts in the chex mix!
<--also makes it different everytime
<--sometimes adds Goldfish crackers, sometimes pretzels, sometimes bagel chips, you get the idea!
<--happily munching on cookies right now!:9 x(
<--couldn't resist them as TTOM is right around the corner
<--is sad to see Robin at work already
since she just seemed to have left there late Friday night!
<--waves at Shelley and hopes that she's feeling better!
<--hopes that she gets all her "errands" done today as well!
<--waves at everyone else that wanders in while <-- is sleeping!
<--whispers, "last night this week, last night this week, YIPPEE!"

<--pops in to say hello.
<--wants Shelley to know that <--just finished washing the kitchen floor. :p
<--tells Amy that <--LOVES nuts. ;)
<--is slurping a cup of yummy post run java right now.
<--needs to hit the shower soon.
<--needs to work <--'s abs first though.
<--is going to FIL's for dinner this afternoon...homemade ravioli!!!:9 }( :9

<-- can't believe you guys starting the day talking about Chex Party Mix!!!!
<-- now has to make some for breakfast :9 :7
<-- says the new medication <-- has been taking for 7 weeks now has *really* helped with Chex Mix!!!
<-- used to eat the whole thing and go really high for hours
<-- now can't eat the whole thing and therefore doesn't go really high for hours!
<-- has also lost at least 5 pounds in case anyone is counting
<-- warns you, <-- has the tummy bruises to prove it since the injection is much more likely to sting and hurt than a regular insulin injection
<-- had to smile at the thread title this morning
<-- has to start writing <--'s list down before <-- loses sleep over it like Robin
<-- thinks Amy is an amazingly cheery lady
<-- almost posted a few hours ago when it was 3:45am and <-- woke up on the couch and DH wasn't home
<-- thinks he came home sometime between 4:15 and 5:30am
<-- says he went in at 8am yesterday
<-- believes he said it would be the toughest day of the season and here's hoping he was right!
<-- really does have to study today for the exam tomorrow

<---just got off the phone with mother's neighbor in VT
<---'s mother was stopped by police this morning, driving down the wrong side of the highway
<---'s mother's license has been taken away from her, as well as her car
<---can't reach her sister, who is on route from WA state to CA
<---can't go take care of mom, who says,"What am I supposed to do, sit here and starve."
<---is not sure why the good Lord thinks <---is so strong, because <--isn't
<---is, in fact, almost at the end of her rope, the rope is frayed and there is nothing below but a big black hole
<---tells the germs they can go play with themselves

<--- {{{{{{{{{{ROBIN}}}}}}}}}}
<--- cannot believe this is happening with your mom
<--- wonders if the neighbor can help with Robin's mom until an alternate plan can be made
<--- thinks Robin needs to sit tight and let her DS take care of mom
<--- really doesn't think her mom will starve but maybe the neighbor can pick up a few things for her, or take her a meal
<--- wonders what senior services are available in the town where mom lives
<--- thinks there must be someone there who can help until Robin's sister can spring into action--a church group, neighbor---SOMEONE
<--- is now panicking for Robin
<--- knows ^^^ situation seems grim but it WILL work out in the end
<--- knows Robin's mom may be resistant to outside help but strongly urges Robin not to succumb to any manipulations
<--- {{{{{{{{{{ROBIN}}}}}}}}}}

<---blows in to say hi to the chickadees :7
<---had a great w/o with DH at the gym
<---needs to finish heavy split tomorrow
<---is playing a bit while DH studies and shmoopy sleeps
<---just loves the quiet time..ahh.
<---hopes y'all are having a good weekend!
<---blows out...

Debbie

Peter: Oh my god, Brian, there's a message in my Alphabits. It says, 'Oooooo.'
Brian: Peter, those are Cheerios.
--Family Guy

<---waves a hello to all youse
<---is so sorry Robin is having mother issues to deal with
<---{{{{ROBIN}}}}
<---also {{{{Robin's mom}}}}}} as she deals with these issues
<---is in agreement with all of Michele's suggestions
<---believes the neighbor and church members would gladly handle this until Robin's sis can arrive
<---also suggests Robin search online for senior services that are available in her mom's area
<---tells Robin to keep herself put
<---reminds Robin she is physically and mentally dealing with a lot where she is
<---will add "mom" to <---'s prayers
<---is going to feed <---now

<---finally reached DS in CA and she said, "Good" to mom losing license
<---tried to talk mom out of driving in October
<---'s DS made me feel a lot better
<---'s DS had done all the homework regarding senior services etc back in October, but her laptop is back in WA
<---knows there are lots of alternatives available and mom won't starve till DS gets there in less than a week
<---'s mom lives on Rice Krispies and snicker bars anyway (really)
<---thanks for the hugs and support
<---will get through this too

<--attempts to wave good morning
<--is too wiped
<--feels like she was hit by a truck
<--is so sorry to hear about Robin's mother
<--thought her license and car had already been taken away?
<--obviously thought wrong
<--just realized that this may actually be a good thing because no one was injured and now Robin's mother can't drive anymore??
<--thinks it's time for Robin's mother to have a home health aide or consider an assisted living arrangement
<--is obviously stating the obvious :p
<--congratulates Ame on doing so well with the Chex Mix and losing the 5 lbs.
<--remembers her Mom serving Chex mix or party mix in the early sixties
<--does not remember seeing it since then
<--never got to eat any cuz she was too little to go to the parties and was usually in bed
<--wonders what Chex mix tastes like
<--wonders how long Amy will be off from work?
<--will be cutting back on her wine drinking
<--is apparently getting too old or too tired or too something to drink 2 glasses of wine at dinner and still feel human the next day x(
<--has a very short "to do" list today and may or may not do it
Nancythefancy
Edited for lots of mistakes
<--is glad that Robin's DS sees it as a good thing too :D

<-- is back from the grocery store
<-- bought fish sticks and they are currently in the oven, getting hot and bothered before landing in <--'s mouth :9
<-- couldn't handle not having fish sticks for some reason
<-- goes on 4+ year kicks between them but <-- is on them currently :9
<-- thinks it is wonderful that a chat with DS helped Robin
<-- tells Nance Chex Mix is salty and crap and there is nothing in it actually good for you :9
<-- says it generally includes at a minimum: corn chex, wheat chex, rice chex in equal portions, nuts, pretzles (but <-- never has those) butter, worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, seasoned salt, and onion powder
<-- says you nuke it and it's devil food
<-- is excited about the fish sticks
<-- says DH has to wake up and go to work again now
<-- should study the entire time he is gone
<-- doesn't know how to do that^
<-- hopes fish sticks give <-- some good ideas on how to stay focused
<-- forgot to tell youse that <-- now weigh *gasp* 123 pounds. <-- has not ever weighed that little since um jr high
<-- feels like <-- is finally getting the body <-- earned more than a year ago
<-- says don't worry, <-- knows what is going on and <--'s mom is doing all the worrying on the subject for everyone
<-- knew the extra 10+ pounds were due to <--'s disease! and now <-- feels vindicated somehow that it wasn't willpower or anything that <-- had any control over that kept the additional pounds on :7

<--says Ame, 123 lbs? How tall are you?
<--thinks that sounds pretty low for someone with so much muscle
<--agrees with Ame that the disease was surely affecting her ability to control her weight, no doubt
<--is glad Ame found a medication that seems to help
NTF
<--sincerely doubts that <--'s Mom would have put any butter in the Chex mix
<--says butter is against her religion :p

<---tells Nancy that in the 60's, butter was everybody's religion
<---explains to Nancy that we tried to get mom to stop driving in Oct, but she won't hear of it
<---'s DS wrote to VT to request mother be retested
<---meanwhile, VT was revoking her license due to another driving infraction, but it has taken until now to catch up to her
<---'s mom was going to lose her license officially on Thursday, but cops took it early since she was on the wrong side of the highway
<---asked her mom if she knew she was losing her license on Thursday and she said no
<---asked if she had notification in the mail and mom said vaguely that there had been something
<---agrees that mother needs more supervision then she is currently getting and will figure it out in the very near future
<---is now hungry for chex mix, but not for fish stix
<---could go for a nice hunk of salmon though
