Tis better to give than receive, but I must mentioned something pretty special I received in 2008...a group of wonderful friends, courtesy of Cathe's site.
I cannot tell you how much fun it has been for me meeting some of you on a personal level, I never would have had the chance to do so otherwise, and I would have missed out on some friendships that I won't trade for anything!!
I don't venture out all that much, so it's pretty much me and DW, I really don't have alot in common with the locals here...no kids...I don't drink...2 strikes in this area.
Sure, things can get a little heated at times in forums such as these, but is it really all that much different than a large family...everyone has their turn playing the uncle who's done something he shouldn't have from time to time, yet always a part of the family.
I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, never claimed to be, but I am smart enough to know when I've got something pretty good, I have that hear, thank you all for making me a small part of your lives, no matter how many times I may play the "dumb uncle"
